Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Mycelic Infantry Impressed!

Time flies! Just completed the 199th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 6th!!!

So for the final result, we were 6th out of 9 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 14 SPS!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild. Woohoo! Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

My cards were definitely stronger in this battle and a few Bloodlust on Chimney Wallstop were beneficial to secure this win comfortably in the end.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Flagulon Reine

This was a big clash and I had to field 4 Legendary cards and 2 Epic cards for this big clash! Djinn Oshannus held up really well and fortunately I managed to bypass the tricky opposing Carnage Titan with my Magic attacks. Ultimately Flagulon Reine made the strongest contribution after getting a few Bloodlusts.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne

Both sides came out with decent lineup but it was Drybone Raider that stole the show with 4 attacks per round thanks to the Super Sneak ruleset. Astral Entity played a big part with Dodge ability, and the opponent was unlucky to clock a lot of misses as their cards had relatively low speed.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

Oh well. It's Quora Towershead again. There were a couple of rounds I went very close to taking her out but it's either that final 1 HP or that crucial miss, and she got to heal herself again. I put out a decent lineup in this one so no regrets here.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Kotriphus Bayne

Hmm that's a lot of Thorns battle this brawl! With the restrictive ruleset, I guess my opponent could only manage to field 3 cards for a 46 mana battle and I had a huge advantage here. Easy win.

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Palidon Rakk and Katrelba Gobson

Mycelic Infantry was so solid over here, partly thanks to the combination with Disintegrator, making it extremely hard for Melee attacks to hit my team. In the end, Mycelic Infantry bought a ton of time for the team and the backline took full advantage of this and got enough damage output to score a victory here.

MVP: Mycelic Infantry

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 83% win rate this time round, and it's a loss to Quora Towershead as expected.
