Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Mindless Thrall Impressed On Its Debut
Time flies! Just completed the 266th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!
- Fun In The Discord Chats
Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.
- Moving Back To Bronze Fray
Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.
- We Got 8th!!!
So for the final result, we were 8th out of 10 guilds and got 250 Merits and around 5 SPS! A good bag of SPS! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?
Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.
Battle 1 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell
This is the first brawl where I had new cards in my deck to beef up the selection. If you followed my earlier post, I used some of my Glint to get some reward cards last week! And right off the bat, Mindless Thrall performed superbly with its Phase ability, fending off a couple of Magic attacks and they were vital in ensuring the team secure the win!

Battle 2 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick
This was an unexpectedly easy win. Double Martyr boosted Pelacor Deceiver significantly under Astral Entity and 4 Melee damage per turn was enough to overcome my opponent.

Battle 3 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: None
Another new card featured in this brawl battle! For this Poison battle, I had 3 cards with Immunity and there were more than enough to outlast my opponent's deck and I really didn't have to do much.

Battle 4 - LOSE
Gladius Card Used: None
I packed my lineup with Flying cards for this Earthquake battle but my opponent's Djinn Oshannus was a tough nut to crack for my Magic cards, and we all know how strong Alric Stormbringer Magic lineups are. I was really out of time in this one.

Battle 5 - LOSE
Gladius Card Used: None
Another frustrating battle because of Quora Towershead. It was just a card show, and I am 100% certain if my opponent didn't have Quora Towershead, I would have won this easily. With Astral Entity, I had all the advantage if it was a pure Melee fight.

Battle 6 - WIN
Gladius Card Used: None
Another Quora Towershead but this time I had 59 mana to pack powerful cards. I put Weapons Training to good use and my damage output was upsized and it was enough to overcome my opponent this time! Shoutout to Mindless Thrall for 2 out of 2 wins for its debut brawl!

Battle 7 - LOSE
Gladius Card Used: None
So this was what Pandamonium meant! Was totally caught off guard - I thought the attacks were done randomly instead. Hence my strategy of Weapons Training totally didn't work, but we learn and do better next time!

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 57% win rate this time, but we all know why. Let's keep fighting PIZZA 2!
