Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Is Larissa Kerato The Strongest Gladius Card?

Time flies! Just completed the 190th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 5th!!!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 10 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 16 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! A decent finish!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

I actually thought I would lose this fight because my opponent had Quora Towershead. But it was quite surprise when my heavy hitters went all out to throw their hits at her and we managed to overcome this dreaded card. Yipee!

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

It's Quora Towershead AGAIN. I thought I had a winning chance when things became better after clearing the opposing Mushroom Seer, but Quora Towershead was just too tough to handle. My team was awesome, and I am still very proud of the way they fought in this battle.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Cutter Brieze

This was an interesting battle because both sides came out with very different strategies here. My opponent opted for one strong Gladius card while I maximised the cards to fill a full deck. Fortunately for Holy Protection, my opponent had trouble clocking the Bloodlust faster than I could hit it. It was a competition of time and my team edged this one out.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

Ouch. A painful defeat to take even though both sides had quite a few similar cards. I had the lesser damage output and was at a disadvantage right from the onset. As the rounds went by, I could not turn this battle around.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Trapp Falloway

Larissa Kerato was the star of this battle, taking down 5 out of 6 in the opposing deck. Trapp Falloway took down the remaining one. With all the Bloodlusts accumulated, it was impossible not to win this battle. My opponent made a bad mistake to field a tank with Taunt in a battle with Fury ruleset.

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato and Witch Of Warwick

Ending the brawl with a perfect 6-0 win! Woohoo! Larissa Kerato once again showed how strong it was. Witch Of Warwick only managed to deal significant hits at the opponent after just one Bloodlust. All in all, every card played their part and Harklaw deserved the MVP for absorbing all the tought hits at the front.

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 67% win rate this time round, not too bad considering I had to fight Quora Towershead twice.
