Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - I'm Back With 100% Wins!

Time flies! Just completed the 158th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 5 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 5th!!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 8 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 17 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Decent finish but was let down my participation as well. Sometimes I wonder how many people are playing Splinterlands these days.

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 1st within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 2 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Whistling Damon

I took a gamble for this ruleset by using Ranged cards even though they cannot hit on the tank position. Fortunately Whistling Damon got the right hits in and managed to overcome my opponent's weak lineup. Good start to the brawl!

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

You can tell how much I enjoy using Astral Entity! Astral Entity single handedly saved me in this battle against the Martyr boosted Drybone Raider from the opposing side. As my opponent kept missing, I managed to complete the hits and turn this battle around.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Once again, I took another crazy gamble by fielding Magic cards for a Magic Reflect battle. It wasn't much of a choice because Back to Basics was in the ruleset as well. And there were many big Magic cards like Chaos Dragon as well. Somehow my damage output paid off, and even with the reflected damage, I cleared my opponent fairly fast and Imperial Knight's tanky stats played a key role in holding off the strong hits from my opponent. First and well deserved MVP for this Common card!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Whistling Damon and Liza Fox

With Thorns and Close Range for Ranged cards, it was a no brainer to go all out on Ranged cards. Liza Fox was exceptionally strong, already starting with 4 Ranged damage, it wasn't long before she clocked enough Bloodlusts to dominate this battle. Even with a Quora Towershead in the opposing lineup, my team was very comfortable throughout the fight.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

My opponent fielded an unusual lineup for this 56 mana battle. While he managed to bait both Martyr boosts successfully, the lineup was just too thin to withstand my hard hitting cards. In no time, Captain Katie hunted down the cards for this easy win.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 100% win rate this time round! Guess who's back? Hehe!
