Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Hard Fought Wins With Battle Scars

Time flies! Just completed the 229th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 7th!!!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 10 guilds and got 400 Merits and around 12 SPS! A good bag of SPS! Who knows how much one SPS would go to in this market?

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 1 additional wins for me.

There was just no way fighting Quora Towershead in this Magic battle here. Just had to take a loss. Oh well.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

In battles where Magic cards were not allowed, Ever Hungry Skull's stats were put to good use. What's more, when paired with Astral Entity, that 8 Armor returns after Resurrection and the opposing team took the entire battle to hit it down.

Battle 3 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Isgald Vorst

Another fight against Quora Towershead, another loss. This is getting so depressing. Oh well.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Prophet Rosa returns to score another value win for the team once again. Low mana battles were always tricky and fortunately, Prophet Rosa's Shield ability on Sea Monster made sure we were able to soak in the big hits, heal up, and outfight our opponent here.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

Another Quora Towershead... But we won! When I saw the lineup, I half thought it's another loss again, but fortunately the team was strong enough. Pelacor Deceiver hitting at the front and Silent Sha-vi hitting from the back proved to be a good strategy and we managed to take down this team. Unexpected outcome if you ask me!

Battle 7 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

This was my mistake here. I overlooked Stampede in the ruleset and my Iziar received double damage from the opposing hits. Couldn't turn this around and my team went down as a result.

Battle 8 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Same lineup and this time we won! Iziar when paired with 2 healers is pretty solid and it's an achievement to outfight an Alric Stormbringer lineup! Awesome win to round off the brawl!

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! Just 63% win rate this time but couldn't do much against Quora Towershead, and we managed to get some strong wins too, so am quite satisfied.
