Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Grandmaster Rathe Showed His Powers!

Time flies! Just completed the 208th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 8 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 7th!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 10 guilds and got 431 Merits and around 12 SPS!

Individually, I had 8 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 5th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

My opponent was too strong in this. With Grimbardun Smith, he was safe from the Poison damage and that made the difference here. Very little cards from Neutral deck have Immunity and these cards are made for such ruleset combinations.

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

Sea Monster put in a solid performance here against the opposing Quora Towershead. In normal battle, a Common card probably had no chance against her but she was not able to heal in this battle so we had a little help from the ruleset. Tricky 15 mana battle and we pulled it off!

Battle 5 - WIN

Guess what? Opponent fled too! Woohoo! These wins are so easy.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

Ouch! Gorth used to fare very well into these low mana battles but we were let down by some bad luck and difference in speed. Gorth made 1 vital miss against the opposing Isgald Vorst and that made the difference between a win and a loss. There is so little room for error in low mana battles.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

Two Captain Katies faced each other and it was my summoner Grandmaster Rathe who made the difference! The extra armor and Void Armor ability enabled me to have an advantage and the team pulled through in this one!

Battle 8 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

It all went wrong in this one. I actually forgot that I could use Larissa Kerato in this one... And I mistakenly fielded a card with 12 HP in this Equaliser battle and that gave my opponent a big boost. Probably too many battles in this brawl and I lost some focus at the very end.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 8 battles for this brawl! An decent 63% win rate this time! Very happy with this result!
