Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Exploding Rats Was The Surprise MVP!

Time flies! Just completed the 187th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 3rd!!!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 9 guilds and got 485 Merits and around 21 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Wow what a surprise! One of our best finish in recent times!

Individually, I had 5 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 4th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

You will never expect Exploding Rats to score a MVP in a battle but this Super Sneak battle was really made for it. While Gorth was struggling to hit accurately, Exploding Rats' 4 Speed had no issues in landing hit after hit, blast after blast, and carried the team to a safe win here.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

WHAT A TOUGH BATTLE. The opposing Agor Longtail was so tough to fight in this battle, which already had a challenging ruleset to maneuver. Magic only and Magic Reflect, what on earth was that? Thankfully, the Iziar/Sola Ranjell combination worked well and the 4 HP heal per turn proved to be very valuable. Legendary Gladius cards are always special.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

Scattershot battles are sometimes down to luck. In this case, I was the receiving end of the bad luck, and somehow my opponent's hits all concentrated on my Gladius card and it was taken out first out of all the 6 cards. It was a close battle and losing a Legendary Gladius card made it very hard for my team to turn the battle around.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

These days there are a lot of new and powerful cards to beware of. I thought all was going well when my opponent took forever to take down Ever Hungry Skull (twice due to Astral Entity's Resurrect), but they had this card called Commander Slade and it was extremely hard to hit due to its high speed. Everyone in my team was missing round and round, and Lira The Dark was the only one hitting it without fail, thanks to the high 6 speed that she has.

So that sums up my 5 battles for this brawl! 80% win rate this time round! Happy with my performance this time!
