Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - Can Trapp Falloway Recover From Its Defeats?

Time flies! Just completed the 181st brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

For this brawl, I made the decision to move back to a Bronze level fray, which is where my cards are at. It proved to a good decision but I was back to winning form!

Had 6 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 5th!

So for the final result, we were 5th out of 10 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 15 SPS! A whole bag of SPS! Pretty okay finish!

Individually, I had 6 fights this time and I won 4 of them this time! Finished 6th within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 3 additional wins for me.

Battle 1 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

This was quite a disaster. I didn't guard my back and allow my opponent's Gladius card to score a buffet of Bloodlust. And I lost badly.

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

I can't possibly lose twice in a row right? My Life lineup was spot on against my opponent for this battle. Captain Katie was having one of her personal best battles with all the Snipe attacks, taking down cards in the backline one by one. Easy win for this.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Witch Of Warwick

How on earth did my opponent decide to field 2 cards for an Equaliser battle? For me, it's no surprise that I fielded a full deck of 6 cards. Not just that, I packed my lineup with 3 cards that had Life Leech. Of course, there was nothing exciting in this battle and it was an easy finish.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth and Chimney Wallstop

When I saw the lineups, I knew this going to be an exciting fight! Both lineups were packed with big cards and the damage output from both teams were just massive. A lot of similar cards between both lineups too. In the end, I couldn't really tell what was the cause of my victory, but I remembered Gorth securing 1 Bloodlust and lasted a while longer in the front of the deck. Probably that was enough to make a difference.

Battle 6 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

My strategy for this battle was to get Martyr boost for Trapp Falloway twice, but this strategy backfired because my opponent used a card with Sneak attack. It is what it is, and it looks like Trapp Falloway lost both outings this time round.

MVP: None

So that sums up my 6 battles for this brawl! 67% win rate this time round! Not too bad, hoping to do better next round!
