Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - 90 Gladius Cases And Counting!

Time flies! Just completed the 294th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 7th!!!

So for the final result, we were 7th out of 9 guilds and got 250 Merits and around 6 SPS!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won 5 of them this time! Finished 3rd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there was 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Gorth

This was tricky battle because Gorth was going up against Cursed Windeku which has Thorns. Surprisingly, Surly Drunk stepped up to the challenge, went for two hits and sacrificed itself to protect Gorth. And Gorth was able to take care of the rest. First MVP for the Legendary Surly Drunk I believe!

Battle 2 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

This was an interesting ruleset for me and I fielded a lot of new cards with high speed because I wanted to hit first. Unfortunately, that was not enough and my damage output was lacking because of my speed strategy.

Battle 3 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Marisol Contuma and Captain Katie

A lot of similar cards from both sides so it was a scrappy fight. At times I didn't know who had the advantage and it was just alternating hits. Fortunately my backline of Magic attackers did very well with their damage output and MVP shall go to the one with highest output, that's Captain Katie.

Battle 4 - LOSE

Gladius Card Used: None

My opponent's tank was just too strong in this battle and it carried the entire team and I didn't have a strong card to counter against it.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

It's my turn to use Cursed Windeku this time! And in low to mid mana battles like these, Cursed Windeku was pretty strong and my opponent's cards were not able to match.

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Captain Katie

There's a reason why I prefer to use Magic cards these days. Not only do they rarely miss, their hits bypass all the armour. It's like a shortcut. And that's how I got this win today.

Battle 7 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

My opponent only fielded a 30 mana team for a 56 mana battle. Naturally this put them at a massive disadvantage and there was no way they were going to pull off a miracle. Easy win to end off the brawl.

MVP: None (almost like a free win)

So that sums up my 7 battles for this brawl! 71% win rate this time, was a tough tough brawl but still a respectable result! Let's keep fighting PIZZA 2!

Review Of Gladius Cards

The Merits are coming in fast and I have enough Merits for my 90th Gladius case! Not bad, an Epic card Trapp Falloway! That's the 4th one so we can upgrade Trapp Falloway to Level 2 now! But I am still missing Quora Towershead.
