One of Nine Copies

Since I dropped my daily writing routine, I checked, and my posts have been mostly focused on heavy subjects, probably some controversial too. While there have been opportunities to write about good things that have happened and still do, to me or in general, it seems that my willingness to express myself was higher when something bothered or concerned me, rather than when I was satisfied.

I want to switch the tone in this post, and write about an easy topic and gratifying on my side. It's not the only one I could write about, but I thought I should mark it since it's a moment in time, and one can easily move over it and onto other regular stuff going on in their life, if they don't mention them.

So... two days ago there was the weekly draw on Frontier mode, which I still play daily. I kinda got used to not win anything in those draws, and didn't have my hopes up when I checked the prizes. But this time was different... I had won something. Being surprised, I didn't even see what I won other than it was a Black Foil, before clicking on the button to move forward and close the popup.

Obviously, I jumped right into the collection to see what I had won. I was even more pleasantly surprised to see it was an Archon. Funnily, my thoughts went first to the fact that I had a max level Archon (for Death), not that it was BF. To be honest, other than being one of very few BF Thalgrimore that will ever exist, I'm not sure if BF has other benefits for the Foundation set. Maybe if someone knows more about the limitations of BF benefits for Foundation cards, they could help out here. They surely don't bring any Glint or DEC bonuses, since neither are part of the Frontier mode. And I think they don't have 5x on Land either (it says 0 for Collection Power).

But... it is one of the nine copies of the BF Thalgrimore currently in existence (there were 6 right after I received it), and it holds its ask price very well, if it didn't increase since I checked at the beginning:

There are currently two of them on the market, one for 60 dollars and the other for 110 dollars. None of them is mine. I wanted to use it in battles and benefit of the advantage of having a max-level Archon in most cases way before others. It helped, since enough of my Foundation cards currently have higher levels than Archon levels allow them to use, for all teams.

To be honest, I think I am the only one I've seen who uses a BF in Frontier mode battles. The others may be pure collectors, at least on the Frontier side.

I am no longer as focused to complete all 3 quests daily as I was at the beginning. Now it really depends on how much time I have, how tired I am and how much energy there is left to use on Frontier. But this BF reward coming after a series of no rewards makes the time spent playing the mode that reminds me of the early Splinterlands game (except the artwork) seem more meaningful.

Oh wow! That's a nice pull! I would sell it before price crashes even more tbh

I don't know... I'll keep an eye on it. If there aren't enough copies, collectors will keep demand high.

Congratulations, at least you were lucky this time, and the best thing is that you got a surprise you didn't expect.
