Three flames. One mind. Endless trouble.
Something fiery is joining the battlefield in Splinterlands!
Introducing Fire Trinity, a new Epic Fire Elemental joining the Starlight Foundations lineup, bringing three mischievous creatures, an extraordinary origin story, and a brand-new ability to the battlefield.
And while they might look like three separate creatures, you'll soon discover that taking on one means taking on all three!
Let's take a closer look at this latest addition.
š„ The Lore ā Born from a Billion-to-One Event

Most fire elementals emerge from a single spark. Fire Trinity is something altogether different.
Deep within the volcanic regions of Praetoria, an ancient volcano erupted with unimaginable fury. Its heart split into three living embers, each awakening as a mischievous elemental spirit.
Such an elemental surge is said to occur only once in a billion events.
But these were no ordinary elementals.
Although each ember developed a distinct personality, all three remained bound by a single consciousness.
The First Flame ā Cunning
Always searching for weakness, this crafty elemental prefers opportunities, ambushes, and outsmarting its enemies.
The Second Flame ā Reckless
Explosive and unpredictable, the second charges headfirst into danger, relying on brute force and fiery enthusiasm.
The Third Flame ā Relentless
Cruel and merciless, the final ember delights in spreading chaos and exploiting fear.
Together, they operate with supernatural coordination, surrounding their enemies before they have a chance to react.
And defeating one is not enough!
As long as even a single member survives, the others can eventually be reborn within the flames.
No wonder Fire summoners are so eager to command them.
Three bodies. One consciousness. An endless appetite for chaos.
āļø Meet the Card ā Fire Trinity
Fire Trinity joins the Fire Splinter as a 7-mana Epic Elemental, with a combination of offensive power, speed, and armour.
Here's how the card develops through its three levels.

At maximum level, Fire Trinity boasts four speed, two armour, and four health, giving it some useful survivability alongside its offensive capabilities.
But the real talking point is the introduction of a brand-new ability.
šÆ New Ability ā Focus Guard
Focus Guard
At the start of the battle, the next living allied unit behind this unit gains +1 ranged power if it has a ranged attack.
This ability introduces another interesting consideration when building your team: positioning.
Unlike traditional abilities that increase the attack power of every friendly unit, Focus Guard is designed to benefit a specific ally.
How does it work?
Imagine the following lineup:
Position 1: Your frontline tank
Position 2: Fire Trinity
Position 3: A ranged attacker with 3 ranged power
Position 4: Another supporting unit
At the beginning of battle, Fire Trinity's Focus Guard activates.
The ranged attacker immediately behind Fire Trinity receives +1 ranged power, increasing its attack from 3 to 4.
That's potentially a significant increase in damage output, particularly when supporting a unit capable of making multiple attacks.
Why positioning matters
Focus Guard rewards players who carefully consider their team composition.
Rather than simply placing their strongest cards on the battlefield, players need to think about which unit will receive the bonus.
A correctly positioned ranged attacker could gain a valuable offensive advantage before the first attack is made.
Put the wrong unit behind Fire Trinity, however, and you could miss out on that additional ranged power entirely.
It's a seemingly simple mechanic, but one that could create some interesting tactical decisions.
š§ What Could This Mean for Fire Teams?
What makes Fire Trinity particularly interesting is the combination of its individual statistics and its ability to support another attacker.
With seven mana required, selecting Fire Trinity represents a meaningful investment in your battle lineup.
However, the potential benefit of an additional point of ranged power could make that investment worthwhile.
I'm particularly interested in experimenting with three approaches:
Increasing an already strong ranged attack by one point could help remove enemy units more quickly.
If the bonus is applied to a ranged attacker that can attack more than once, that additional ranged power could become even more valuable.
Focus Guard encourages players to think carefully about the order of their units rather than focusing purely on their individual abilities.
Of course, whether Fire Trinity becomes a regular feature in competitive Fire lineups will depend on how it performs in actual battles.
But it's certainly an interesting addition to the available tactical options.

š„ Three Flames, One Fury**
One of my favourite things about Splinterlands is when the lore and gameplay complement one another.
Fire Trinity is a great example.
Three individual fire elementals, sharing a single consciousness and working together to overcome their enemies.
And now, on the battlefield, they're bringing an ability that rewards teamwork and coordination.
It feels like a fitting introduction for these mischievous little creatures.
Whether Fire Trinity becomes a staple of Fire teams or a specialist card for particular strategies, I'm looking forward to seeing what players can do with it.
š¬ What Do You Think?
Will Fire Trinity find a place in your Fire lineup?
Which ranged attacker would you position behind it to take advantage of Focus Guard?
And do you think this new ability could become an important part of future Splinterlands strategies?
Let me know in the comments!
