Is it worth returning to Splinterlands in 2026? I'll tell you EVERYTHING. [Eng/Esp]

Greetings, human duelists how are you doing?

Well, we’re getting back into @splinterlands this year, and I’ve noticed several changes in the game. That’s the reason for this post: so we can get up to date together in case you want to return to the game or you’re a player who wants to bet on this game this year.

In this post I’ll touch on very general but current aspects. If I see good support for this post, I’ll go deeper in future posts, or you can leave any questions in the comments. That said, let’s begin:

🟣Gameplay

Well, in general terms it remains the same. Something I’ve noticed is the visual side: there are some new animations, such as when the battle starts (the battlefield has an animation), and when you win, your avatar appears.
I also feel that battles are smoother and it’s easier to select the cards we’ll use. Other than that, everything is the same.

What’s New

There are several little things we’ll go into more deeply:

AVATAR:
I really liked this. They added this update so that a character represents us in our battles. This avatar has a wide variety of things we can customize not just visually. I also noticed it’s similar to a card, since we can give it unit abilities, a class, and many other things.
It can also be leveled up, but I still don’t understand why (if you know, leave it in the comments).
As for me, I bought this decoration in the shop (new).

🟣SKINS:
Recently there was an event in the Glint shop where they added certain skins that you could buy with this internal token. But now you can also buy skins from this section in the game using DEC, in case you want one. An interesting proposal from the team.

Shop

Currently, the game has several shops, such as the classic one, the card shop (where you buy and rent your cards), and others for Splinterlands world items (lands, totems, and those kinds of things). In short, there’s a wide variety to choose from.
They’re also adding a special seasonal shop where you pay with vouchers, and right now you can buy this card:

🟣Cards

Any good card game is always releasing new cards, and Splinterlands is no exception. I’ll talk about the Eternal set cards, which are basically for lands (this topic is quite long and I’ll cover it in another post). These cards give your land certain bonuses depending on the card you have and its level.

Finally, the extra cards from the Foundations set arrived there are 4 of them. The good thing is that these cards have a lower chance of appearing in packs, and an even lower chance of appearing as black (gold foil) or black with animation. Remember that you can acquire these cards in the DEC shop, or with some luck they can drop while playing the Frontier game mode.

Saludos humanos duelistas como están...

Bueno estamos retomando @splinterlands este año y veo que hay varios cambios en el juego y esa es la razón de este post, para que nos actualicemos juntos por si quieres volver al juego o eres un jugador que quisiera apostar por este juego en este año.
En este post tocare aspectos muy generales pero actuales, ya si veo buen apoyo en ese post pues lo profundizare en futuros post o puedes dejar alguna duda en los comentarios. Dicho esto comencemos:

• Gameplay
• Lo nuevo (avatar, skins )
• Tiendas
• Cartas

Gameplay
Bueno en términos generales sigue siendo igual, algo que noto es la parte visual que hay algunas animaciones nuevas tales como cuando inicia la batalla ( el campo de juego tiene una animación ) y cuando ganas aparece tu avatar.
También siento que es mas fluido las batallas y es mas facil seleccionar las cartas que usaremos. De resto todo igual.

Lo Nuevo
Bueno hay varias cositas que tocaremos mas a fondo:
AVATAR: esto me gusto mucho y es que han agregado esta actualización para que un personaje nos represente en nuestras batallas. Dicho avatar tiene una gran variedad de cosas que le podemos hacer, no solo visuales sino que noto que se parece a una carta ya que le podemos poner habilidades de una unidad, clase y muchas cosas más.
También se le puede subir de nivel pero aun no entiendo el porque ( si lo sabes déjame en los comentarios ).
Yo por mi parte le compre esta decoración en la tienda ( nuevo ).

SKINS: Bueno hace poco hubo un evento en la tienda de Glint donde colocaron ciertas skins que podías comprar con este token interno. Pero ahora también podes comprar skins desde esta sección en el juego por medio de DEC por si quieres alguna. Interesante este propuesta por parte del equipo.

Tienda
Bueno actualmente el juego tiene varias tiendas tales como la clasica la de cartas ( compras tus cartas y arquilas ), las de otros item del mundo splinterlands ( tierras, totem y esas cosas ). En conclusión hay gran variedad para escoger.
Ademas están colocando una tienda especial por temporada donde pagas con los voucher y actualmente podes comprar esta carta:

Cartas
Bueno buen juego de cartas que se respete siempre están sacando nuevas cartas y splinterlands no es la excesion. Te hablare de las cartas del set** Eternal** que son básicamente para las tierras ( ese tema es bien largo y lo tocare en otro post ). Dichas cartas le dan a tu tierra ciertas bonificaciones según la carta que tengas y su nivel.
Son estas:

Por ultimo llegaron las cartas extra del set Fundations que son estas 4 cartas. Lo bueno es que estas cartas tiene menos posibilidad de que te salgan en los sobres y mucho menos que te salgan negra o negra con animación. Recuerda que estas cartas las podes adquirir en la tienda de Dec o con algo de suerte te pueden salir jugando el modo de juego Frontier.

Bueno creo que ya te actualice con todo lo nuevo que tiene splinterlands este año; se que falta profundizar mas sobre ciertos temas, pero con esto ya no estarás tan perdido en el juego este 2026.
