Hi Guys Welcome to Another Post on my Blogs, this week I wanted to share some of my thoughts and ideas about the Gamefi Strategy I'll be taking into this new year. This post relates my General Summary and outlook on Advancing into 2023, but I'm also gonna be creating it in a way that can be helpful for You as a Splinterlands Gamer looking to make some Financial Adjustments!
For the longest time, I'll consider myself late to the party
for most Gamefi Ecosystems I've contributed to. It's a normal feeling that grips even the best of us - another way to put it is: FOMO OR Fear that a Project has taken off before you were able to Invest and Contribute to it.
The Year I Started Splinterlands was Extremely HOT 🌶, by this I mean, it was an extremely successful year for a lot of Gamers, as I can remember well - People had their Cards x2 in prices to scale their Investments.
I started playing Splinterlands first in September 2021, and around this specific time was when Splinterlands registered some unprecedented growth that Increased its DAU to Over 200k in just 2 weeks. Economically Speaking, it would have been best to Join such an Ecosystem a few months back when things were still on a low.
I think that another aspect of Investing in Web3 Ecosystems that I consider a lot are the variables at work, including the continuous Updates Ecosystems, receive which requires constant efforts to keep your assets up-to-date and relevant.
The Ideal Web3 Community for me would be one whose updates still carry previous Investors along - One such scenario for Splinterlands would be Monster Cards.
How does a newcomer fit into an Ecosystem like Splinterlands without it feeling daunting for them?
I'm not a big Investor in Splinterlands since I like to understand what I'm doing and have 80% confidence in it.
Well, my Approach for Starting Splinterlands from the Ground-up is Two-fold
:
Learn from the OGs, What parts of the Community excite them?, How long did it take to grow their assets?, The Efforts involved, and Finally - What kind of Gameplay they assume (Hard or Soft Style)
The Second Way is personal - By studying the Marketplace to understand it more, checking the elements that make Cards Differ?, Increase in their popularity?, Powerful Cards Vs Hype Cards.
The way I see it, The best way to Start Investing in Splinterlands is by Purchasing NFTs Cards, and in other to make this process worthwhile, I want to take advantage of all elements that could guide this Process.
Well, 2022 can be summed up as a Fantastic Year that revealed a LOT, Majorly in the Crypto-Blockchain World. Another way of Putting this is - Many Communities, Projects, Tokens, and NFTs Crashed while some Resulted to their Base Value.
Most of Us expected the Bear Market that lasted the entire year to subside in just five months around June-July, In fact - I was quite certain that by the Time the SPS Airdrop Ended, things would have been on a rise and cause the price of SPS to Scale
, but this wasn't the case too!.
The story of Bitcoin is another chapter Altogether, most of the crypto tokens followed the Downward trend of Bitcoin, Including Hive.
I feel that It's almost
Impossible that after such a Major Crash of the Entire Market, the subsequent times shouldn't be half as glorious
(i.e, on the opposite spectrum).
This is my way of saying; 2022 was the Calm, 2023 is gonna be the Storm. 2023 will most likely achieve the expectations that we all held for 2022, which I wanna be prepared for!
For the very first time,
I see myself in a position where I can profit from all these
.
What can One possibly Achieve by Studying the Splinterlands Marketplace, Historic Card Prices, and Putting all that Analysis to Good use?
If there's ONE
Game I wanna have a stake in Advancing into Better Periods (a Bull Market), that would be SP!
I love all the options that come with the mere Idea of Monster Cards in Splinterlands, there's so much you can do with them.
If One is Speaking on the basis of Taking Advantage of Market Opportunities in a Year such as 2023, it should def involve purchasing cards. What one Does after Purchasing Cards is Equally Important, and as of yet, I still don't have a Solid Idea of which is more profitable - Renting Out Your Cards
, or Battling with them
!
I think that in the General Sense of things, Battling with the Cards You've Purchased should be better, since You can Earn Extra Cards (If Possible Upgrade their Levels), and also compete in the SP Weekly Battle Challenge.
Playing with Cards, means Competing in Ranked Battle and this brings us to ⬇
In Some of my Previous Posts, I've complained about How Advancing in the Splinterlands Leagues is getting Increasingly Difficult and I believe that our massive blogging Activity here on Hive has paid off, bcos even novice-ranked players
are using Gold Cards in their Battles. LOL!.
So the point I'll be considering as I try to overcome this challenge is:
Should I Invest in Powerful Vs Hyped Cards
, If I do go for Naturally Powerful Cards, I could Easily Utilise these in my Gaming and Level Faster.
Another point offering more flexibility is - I could first start noting down Cards I lose to, then continuously Rent them from the Marketplace. This will give me several splinter options to battle with since Renting is Cheaper than Buying.
The Last resort like ign1te
(@) used in his awesome Post on Yodin, can help to combine the above points into Forming Specific Teams for Each Splinter. The Issue with this method is that the diff battle Mana Cap can throw one off at times!
Whatever method I decided to begin my Ranked Missions with, it occurs to me that Powerful Cards(that can guarantee a win) like Djinn Oshannaus are ONE way to go!
Like I said, I love having a good grip of how Future Events might affect my current Choices, and Splinterlands already provides a Satisfactory way for Gamers to follow their building process and release info.
In the past, I've always preferred to read SP News posted by Gamers in SP-Hive Community, but I'm just going to do this Directly. I hope to get more involved in this process because I think this will also affect my near-term plans for Splinterlands going forward!
