Welcome Gamers and Readers of the SP-Hive Community, the Wonderful Season of Christmas is just around the Corner - just a few days away, and maybe we should start expecting a few Players Out on Vacation, while some of us remain here on Hive. Whatever it is, I hope y'all have some Creative Stuff Planned out for this Season!
Likewise, I wanted to unwind and Create a Playful Splinterlands Post for this Week, Forgetting all about Battle Strategies, wanting to share instead of one thing that has been a constant bother during my Splinterlands Gaming.
The Fact that we Refer to All Splinterlands Monsters as
IT
when they are clearly distinguished betweenMales
andFemales
.
Therefore, In this Post I'll be Creating ratings around as many Splinterlands Monsters as I can Handle, Deciding whether it's Indeed a Male or Female
, and Sharing Reasons for my Decisions. How Fun is That? π§Ώπ§Ώ
To make this Detailed & Organised while at the same time Brief & Fun - I'll be Compiling from the Most Popular Splinterlands Monsters across all Elements and Editions
So, Let's Get Started! π€
Although I'm just looking to have a Fun Week-Days Creating Content for Splinterlands, this Post didn't just come about Out of the Blue
, and like I mentioned above, it's been bothering me for some time, ever since I began playing Splinterlands last-year
The Issue I can't figure out is: I'm repeatedly confused about Monster Reference in my Splinterlands Posts. I may write out my thoughts instinctively on how I perceive every monster, but I usually have to re-edit
these and correct them. This is a Pain and a Waste of Time!!
So I'm gonna give it a go and Dismantle this Topic Once-n-For-All
, after which you can expect all my posts to refer to Monsters just how I see them.
It's Strange enough that Splinterlands Monsters are so Realistic and seem to come from a Pre-Historic Pop Culture, but what's
Stranger
is that We Players decide to Properly Inanimate them into a Regular Lower Life-Form, xD.
Let's get this Ranking going from
the Monsters I love the best and write about all the time, In Descending Order
:
Regal peryton is One of my Most Favourite Earth Monsters in Splinterlands, on first look, it appears to have no special Battle Traits but By Using it in Battle, Regal Peryton is a Flexible Monster that can be used in Both Attacking and Defensive Roles.
Regal Peryton is a very beautiful Monster with Pinkish-purplish Fur Coat, Its Eyes take the appearance of a Gazelle, and Its Entire Makeup Points to it Being FEMALE
Ever since I Discovered about Water Monster DiemonShark from a Weekly S.Y.B.C, I've liked it a lot. DiemonShark is a very Strong Attack Monster that is also really cheap.
It can be Utilised for Many Successful Battle when you Place it against a Good Summoner and Elemental Team (Usually NOT Water)
Diemonshark is Definitely a Tricky one to Judge because of How It's body Looks, Strong Yet Slim, Jagged Yet Streamlined, Personally, from the Experience of Most Sci-fi Monster Movies, I know many Female Monsters take such a Look, especially with it's Multiple Eyes on each Side of the Head
.
In such a case, where this monster's true gender
is hard to judge, I'll take a look at its Lore. Diemonshark's Lore states that,
Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory
They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes
Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land
With all these points, as much as I might want to lean towards MALE
, I gonna have to go with FEMALE
. The World of Animated Movies + Nat Geo Wild has shown us that Female Monsters are Extremely Territorial, Hunt Alone, and are Deceitful
.
This is another one of my favorite Monsters, an Earth Monster from the Chaos of Legion Card Edition. Goblin Psychic is a Super Critical and Essential Monster in Battle that can both be used Defensively and Attack-wise. Goblin Psychic helps to Heal Tank Position Monsters, In turn, Deal +2 Magic Attack.
Used well in Battle, the Low Health of Goblin Psychic can be Protected from Damage through good Positioning and its magic attack can be Bumped up.
Rating Goblin Psychic gender is relatively easy by Just Looking at its features such as Huge, Hard Facial Look, and so on
. In fact, there's not one Feminine feature that I can point towards, Therefore, Goblin Psychic is a Conclusive MALE
Monster.
This Post cannot be Complete without mentioning a Monster from the Dragons Elemental, so I decided to pick one which is a Favorite amongst So many Splinterlands Players, and I'm no Exception.
Djinn Chwala is Plainly, My Best Dragon Element Card - This is perhaps due to the fact that I haven't tried out Many Dragon Cards due to their High Price (I'm also not a big fan of Renting Cards too).
But I think this is also what makes Djinn Chwala so Lovable - An excessively Strong Attack Dragon Card that has remained relatively cheap in the Marketplace
. Its Thorn Ability makes it Deadly to the Highest Melee Damage team and Always leaves it Standing in the Tank Position with Low or High Health at Battle's End.
For the longest time, I thought Djinn Chwala was a MALE
Monster, maybe because I never gave it much of a thought, but I got a deeper insight on this after reading its lore during the last S.Y.B.C of Dragons Elemental. I was mildly shocked to find out Djinn Chwala's true Gender is actually FEMALE
.
Green Blouse Top
, Hairstyle
, Gold Necktie
etc.I decided to Round Up this 1st Monster's Round with a very popular Earth Monster called Obsidian. Obsidian Is a Favorite amongst many Players who use the Earth Element because of the Buff it Provides, i.e +1 Magic Attack, which can seriously provide an advantage in Battles.
As to the gender of Obsidian? I hope that we can all agree about this one pointing largely to a FEMALE
Monster. Even if the Physical Features of Obsidian don't clearly show us this, - Her Lore can sure as hell tell us So!
Obsidian Lore States - The fearsome woman now known as Obsidian grew up in the remote village of Stonebluff as the last remaining Earth mage
The Lore of Obsidian is Wayy Longer than what I Provide here, and I absolutely Enjoyed reading it π! I wished all Monster's Lore were as Long and Fantastic as Hers. Yes!, I can Boldly Say Her
now!
Ice Pixie is One Monster that comes to mind immediately since I also create content for the Weekly SP Art Contest, I discovered that this is a favorite Monster for many Artists. Although, I wouldn't say this is among the Top Prettiest Monsters in Splinterlands, My Regal Peryton rather Tops that chart, does it not? xD.
I think what makes Ice Pixie very Popular amongst artists is that the pixie Monster is a Popular Mythical Creature in Artists, Creative and Animated Films.
From my experience, I'd say most Pixies are Females
, although there are many Male Pixies. As for Splinterlands Ice Pixie, I can say that this is of course a FEMALE
Monster, not just because of her appearance, which is telling us ALOT
(if you know what I mean xD), But Partly Because of Some Lore Snippets.
As a Bonus, Since I also have Created Art Around Ice Pixie, Enjoy this Image - I Present, an AI Art Image of Ice Pixie
:
I'm not a fan of the Fire Elemental, so I don't have a lot of favorites from it, but One Monster I always end up using in Majority of my Fire Team Battles is this one - Serpentine Spy.
For some reasons which elude me, I can't figure out why ANYONE
should continually use Serpentine Spy, but it turns out even I am
guilty of this. Why do I say this? Well, Serpentine Spy is a Really Low Stat Monster Especially in Health - Like, We're talking Just ONE Health on this Guy?
π.
But that is how it has remained, Serpentine Spy has maintained its popularity among the Fire Monster Ranks and whether this is because (1) He has Snuck his way into Our Hearts using Its Spy tactics, OR (2) No Monster has yet been introduced to Sweep him off the Opportunity Monster
Ranks, Only time will tell!.
As to the Gender of this Monster, this is One Topic that it hasn't failed in its attempt to conceal (Never Trust Spies Player), but looking at its Individual Features, I'm able to arrive at the conclusion that Serpentine Spy is a MALE
Monster. Some Features Giving this away:
It's Broad Chest
It's Masculine Arm
It's Head Looking Similar to the TMNT(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle) Fighters
Lastly, It's Sturdy Looking Tail Showing Strength Over Finnese
Elven Mystic is Purely One of the Most Popular Neutral Monster in the Ranks today. I Use Elven Mystic as a Great Substitue in Many Magic Battles and some Random Element Battles where I'm not fully sure of My Opponent's Choices, Including a Magic Attacker might be a Good call to Penetrate Shields.
Elven Mystic is another Beutiful, Lovely Monster dwelling in the Magic Element. At the First Glance, most Players are most likely to sum up the gender of Elven Mystic as FEMALE
, for many reasons the Aura that this Monster Exudes points that way Indeed, and Neither does Its Lore Give us any Special Insight on this.
But for this Monster, if we're to decide by Looking and Studying Deeply the Physical Features of this Monster, We can Clearly see It's a MALE
.
Firstly, if you look at the Full Image of Elven Mystic (Over the Card Image which Conceals some details), we can conclude on;
wears an Overall Suit that Seems fitting for Males
and has a Collar that looks as such.It Points Out that Mages are Usually Female Magicians, but Many Males are Called Mages too
. From the Several Magic Text-Based Games I Played, I can fully testify that the better part of the Characters called Mages was in fact, Males.Venari Knifer is an Earth Monster that comes with a Great Battle Stat Giving Players More in Less Mana Cap Battle. Literally, this Monster is a Top Monster that can win a lot of Battles when it is Well Supported from the Back.
It's Battle Stat can almost compete with some Dragon Cards(Due to it's Thorn Ability), like we saw above in Djinn Chwala, but for the absence of some well-built shield.
As for the Gender of Venari Knifer, I can say this one is Pretty Easy, Although, I also Missed a Clear point on first Appearance. At First I decided this was a MALE
monster by Looking at the Card Image Alone, but Taking a Look at the Full Image Again, The Shape of Venari Knifer Comes through and you can see Its Curves for what it Is!.
Kelya Frendul is another Summorner which will round up Our Ratings for this Post, this is also a Popular Water Summorner used by Many Players in Major Water Battles. This is an Efficient Monster, no Two-Ways, What you See is what you Get!.
I Love this Monster because it shows a lot of Character from it's Appearance, too much strenth and Physicality that Almost makes us Decide on it's Gender as a MALE
Monster, but Again, You couldn't be farer from the Truth
.
Kelya Frendul is such as hell a FEMALE
Monster and Not Only Does Her Appearance Gives this away (By also Looking at the Full Image Again), She Even Carries a Classic Make-up Sidebag, LOL.
The Lore of Kelya Further Points us to the Truth from some Snippets:
She had hundreds of servants and was butled from dawn until dusk.
She even has the pleasure of leading the most stalwart and tactical squadron around
She uses Water magic to create weapons of crystallized water.
she purchased a fleet of ships and built her home on the small island of Vorlan.
There are Numerous Instances to Guide even the wariest Players of Us π€, So I hope you Must Agree with me on this!
Without a doubt, and this is of course a Personal Opinion - The Main Reason why I absolutely Adore Splinterlands TCG is because of its Entourage of Monsters. This Game consists of the Most Impressive Monster/ In-game Character I've Come Across, which is saying something because I'm a Big Gamer.
My Best Mobile Game Ever is Brawl Stars
by Supercell, and I love this Game for the Same Reasons I like Splinterlands, it's Ingame Characters which Players Interact with
!
I believe that, Web3 Gaming and the Ideal Picture of a Metaverse, will be ultimately shaped by the experience of Players which is fueled by In-Game Characters, Avatars, and NFTs.
So far, I can confidently say that - Splinterlands Dwarfs other so-called Metaverse Gamefi Ecosystems in this Aspect and I hope it Goes on to Continue Excelling as the Metaverse both Grows and Shapes into itself!
For all these reasons, I just feel happy
to know that Splinterlands can be more than just a Monster TCG filled with Battle Strategies, it's all a matter of Your Perspective. I had so much fun writing this post, and it has been purposely shortened from my initial plans(of Rating 20 Monsters) so that it doesn't bore any Player out.
I'll probably be writing more of these kinds of posts in future rounds, so you Better Watch Out
!
