Hello everyone! This is my first time posting a Weekly Challenge from Splinterlands. This week features ANGELIC MANDARIN. So let's check out how this beautiful monster does in battle.

THE STATS

Angelic Mandarin has two abilities: TRIAGE AND SILENCE

TRIAGE - heals damaged backline monsters and can be unlocked at level 4.
SILENCE - reduces the magic damage by 1 of the enemy monsters and can be unlocked at level 8.

THE RULESET

The ruleset in this battle includes UNPROTECTED which means that monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from Abilities or Summoner Buffs and the mana cap is 30.

THE LINE UP

I used Kelya Frendul as my summoner although the rules offsets his +1 armor. His +1 speed is still good together with my high speed monsters.

For my main tank, I used serpent of eld instead of Diemonshark because we cannot utilise the armor of Diemonshark in this battle and Serpent of Eld is cheaper and has the same health as Diemonshark.

My second position monster is Tide Biter which has a reach ability.

Deeplurker is my main Damage dealer because of its high speed and it has opportunity ability.

I used Merdhampir as a utility monster. I really like his life leech and cripple ability. He is really good in close range rules also.

I really like using Pelacor bandit because of his abilities, the sneak and flying. He is also very fast which helps him evade sneak attacks even opportunity attacks.

My last monster is the featured Angelic Mandarin. Although at this level it does not have any ability, it can also serve as a backline tank for the cost of 3 mana.

THOUGHT ABOUT THE BATTLE
I really think I won this game because of speed. The opponents Torhilo did not much in the battle because he is dead at the beginning of the second round. although he has INSPIRE ability from River Hellondale, it did not much do because I hit first during the battle and his monsters are getting killed before they can attack.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Although this battle does not really highlight Angelic Mandarin's abilities because I still don't have at least level 4 Angelic Mandarin, I still think it is still a viable backline tank in some situations. All cards has its utility in different leagues and rulesets.
