There is no substitute for hands on learning with a teacher. However, its much cheaper (and easier) to hunt for learning opportunities on free sites like Youtube. I'd make sure I checked out the free sources before doing the paid ones.
As for spending money to upgrade your workspace. Awesome idea. Just make sure that the expenses are going to bring enough increased income to make it worth their while.
On a curious note. I know you are great at sewing (I've seen your work) how hard is embroidering? It would be cool if you were able to put a HIVE logo on an item or two 😁
Just a fun thought.
Good luck.
I already make enquiries for the hands on learning with a teacher offline here just to learn the basics of male fashion but the price was a bit outrageous, about a hundred thousand naira. I have other engagement that needs such funds for now. Will start learning online first and if it doesn't make meaning, I will take that option. Knowledge is getting expensive by day even if it is in skilled work like this.
I do check out fee sources too.
This paid one is really cheap and from professional top designs, they make YouTube videos that are restricted from people who do not pay
Here I paid just $3 for 3courses.
It's a penny worth throwing up and if I didn't get much success with it, it won't hurt much
I will try my hands on the embroidery. Although they come in different types, pearl/bead work, yarn embroidery and embellishment with previous stones...
A typical bead work I did last year
I know your smart with your money and won't throw it away :) Good luck in choosing the right courses and getting what you need to become an even better seamstress :)
