VIEWING FUTURE: If I could time travel, here's what I'd do

Good day, hivers! Did you ever fantasize about things once in your life? Would you imagine things that you want to happen in the future? In my case, it may sound weird, but I consistently do that. Today, I want to share or maybe explore my way of imagining things both in the future and the past as if it were my source of relaxation.

Even before, I was a future-conscious person. I have a lot going on in my mind, wanting so badly for it to happen. Every day before I go to sleep, I like to fantasize about things, it is my kind of motivation to keep going and doing things.

I have always wondered what would life be like ten or five years from now. Will I be successful? I'll be having my own house? A lot of money? A lot of luxurious objects? A healthy and happy family? Will I accomplish all of those that I dream of? Or perhaps, will I still be the same person I am today? Time travel has fascinated me for a while now, and if given the chance to take a peek at the future, I wouldn't surely hesitate.

Many people want to travel back in the past, going back to the things they regret in the present moment, wanting to fix their mistakes, or maybe relive memories. As for me, I'd choose the future because it holds more excitement, looking forward to the unknown possibilities that life holds and the progress of my personal growth.

THINGS THAT I WOULD IN THE FUTURE

1. Watching my future self
In the future, would I be living the same life I dream of today? Did I achieve my goal of becoming a professional engineer? Or did life give me another direction? Did I buy myself the things I wish I could afford now? Did I make myself and my parents proud? Did I pay off my parents' sacrifices in life just to give me a brighter future ahead? And most importantly, am I happy? Watching my future self could give me valuable insight into the choices I need to make now.

2. My career in Civil Engineering
I am very passionate about being a civil engineer so I'd love to see what I look like if I were one. I'd love to know what kind of project I am working on, did I successfully contribute to designing sustainable buildings and houses like how I told my friends I would be the one to work on their dream houses? I'd love to see myself sitting in the swivel chair, feeling the ambiance of my own office and looking at the door knowing that my credential is name written outside.

3. My dream house
Another stop would be my future house. Will I be owning my mansion or just a simple penthouse? I want to see my future self living in a place with breathtaking views, high-tech features, spacious bedrooms, and a perfect interior design that matches my personality. I want to check my walk-in closet where my comfortable clothes are, a very large pool where I can privately swim, and my own studio because I love to sing and record.

4. Traveling to different places
Beyond material things, I'd want to see the lifestyle I've built for myself. I want to see myself traveling to different places or even countries just like how the younger me dreamed of going to her favorite places that she used to look at on her phone. I'd like to see myself experiencing and feeling the atmosphere of the places she wished so hard to go to.

5. My family and personal relationship
Aside from wealth, I'd also take a moment to look at my personal life. Have I built a stronger relationship with my family? Did I already take them on never-ending vacations and buy them gifts not just on holidays? Did I make them smile because of the efforts I made for them? Am I already married? Have kids who look up to me? Am I still friends with the same circle I used to spend most of my time in high school with? Seeing these connections and the happiness I have accomplished over the years would be so satisfying.

Seeing what lies ahead could make me live more fearlessly. I'd love to witness my work pay off and how I live my life with success, contentment, and fulfillment. Thinking about the future will always remind me that every choice I make today will shape what's ahead. With that, I can take control of my future and make the best decisions in life.
