"Introvert Talks" is meant to be a new initiative or theme, where I myself as an introvert, just talk about reflections and thoughts about my life, or maybe share more personal stuff. :)
This is my weekly post under this "Introvert Talks" theme and let's see where it takes me and us.
So yesterday I was reading @tarazkp's posts and I saw this Hive Report Card that is created by @holoz0r. Being a stats freak, I knew this was going to be fun! After all I had 4 years of data to be analysed so there was definitely going to be some interesting insights somewhere.
So without ado, let's look at some of these numbers!
First interesting stat would be posts per day/week. At 0.855 post per day, that's almost 6 posts per week! That's kind of surprisingly since I am not as active these days, but I guess it's the law of the averages and my daily postings at the early years made this number look a little flattering.
The streaks and breaks are the next set of interesting stats. 16 day streak seemed quite amazing but I was definitely very active back then, but I used to do a good amount of simple posts like Zapfic ones, just for experiment and a little fun, especially when I had more time to kill. 20 days break definitely is the longest for me, that's the break I took earlier this year and I spent 2.5 weeks in Europe, spanning different countries.
Scrolling down, here you can see a breakdown by time period. My posts per week did have such fluctuations, with 2022 being the highest, and it dipped in 2023 and then went back up in 2024. No surprise, 2025 is currently the lowest. But as we all know, it's not all about the quantity when it comes to posts. The content is more important and after 4 years, I think I have found my own rhythm and style, and have come up with personal columns like this (Introvert Talks) to share my little reflections and stories.
This has got to be the most interesting set of data, something that I totally didn't expect. My highest number of posts is on Mon? I am not sure how the timezone works but it's interesting because I would have thought it would be either Saturday or Sunday. But thinking a little deeper, perhaps it's because I am out on the weekends so it probably means lesser time on Hive. Wednesdays and Thursdays are understandably lower because I am usually quite exhausted from work mid week, but that said, the numbers aren't that different. In a way, it's close to a uniform distribution in a way.
This is another interesting set of numbers because I wouldn't have guessed September to be the month with the lowest posts and January to be the most with the highest posts. I can't deduce any reason for the fluctuation, except that it probably coincided with my break periods which can be random in nature. Actually December should be lower since it's the festive period, but I guess numbers don't lie.
Interestingly, I think the number of days didn't quite affect the trend as well. Even though January had the most posts with 31 days, the argument wouldn't work with May and August, which had very low post count, even with 31 days as well. Same logic for February, pretty high post count despite having the lowest number of days in the year.
There are many other stuff in the Report Card but I thought these were the more interesting ones (in my view of course) and it was fun to see these stats and reflect a little on my Hive journey. So thanks @holoz0r for the hard work! And that's all I have this week! :)
This is interesting, I should go try it out
