RE: Eight Years in Remission

Wow that is superrr. Congrats 🥳🎶

Your story resonates so well with me. I have had something very similar; Tumour in my tongue. Fortunately, surgery was enough, cut, heal and done; No radiation and shizzle. Bad version, but still encapsulated. I sometimes wonder the same. Though I know I changed my life to enjoy the moment more than living in the future. That said, this is something growing older also does to people.

Realistically it shouldn't take a catastrophic life event for us to want to be better people right?

Wasn't sure. Rhetorical, or not?
You are 100% correct, catastrophic life events shouldn't be the driver, but humans are humans. Catastrophic events can have a big impact on us. Any such event. Including the 'life' type.

Thank you! That is great that you didn't have something more serious. I am glad it worked out for you. It is a rhetorical question, but sometimes you need reaffirmation on those sorts of things!
