I have been one of the few who have said "maybe we should not be using technology quite so much". Which is kind of funny, since I am the Technology Director for the district.
Interestingly, I've read that some of the biggest opponents of technology in the classrooms are leaders of some of the biggest companies in silicon valley. I recall reading about one guy — I forget who... it wasn't Gates, but it was a big name — who even forbid his kids to have any screen time at all when they were young. Makes sense though — who else knows better about the dark side of this technology?

Yeah, it's not working as well as people think it is. They keep lying to themselves about the benefits and think that I am hampering achievement when I suggest we back off. There might come a point where I say screw it, it's not my problem anymore.
