hehe... you know what... fiction doesn't need to be an entire story... it could be a piece about a moment in time... an introspective of sorts... a reflection over an incident which shows a lesson learned by a character.... a lot of my short stories take place in the present continuous which allows me to imagine myself in the action / the moment now, seeing and experiencing something through my character's eyes and thoughts. I write quite a bit of faction - so stories based on facts (personal experience either actual own experience or witnessed/experienced through others close to me) and then overlaid with a thin or thick layer of fiction, depending on the circumstances. You should try it... just explore... when you draw from personal experience... you connect more quickly to character traits/ideas/feelings and ... you can even write one-off fiction for the challenge too... and if you feel after one go at it that the piece may have more to offer, then turn it into a 3 parter hehe... challenge yourself... you will be surprised! It just takes ... starting... we all had to make that first write not knowing, not having as much confidence in it... the best thing to do... just write... grab a writing prompt from @mariannewest 's daily prompts, set a 5 minute timer, and just write non stop whatever comes into your head...then after five minutes of writing... go back re-read and see if it sparks anything and whether you can weave a little tale around it 🤗 - don't worry about what others may or may not think... and the best thing about writing here in a Dreemport challenge? You are amongst friends, my friend 💗 people who will be there to support and guide your writing gently. And you know what... one way I've seen it done which makes it easier getting started is to say at the bottom of your post (if you want to of course hehe)...

Doesn't that make it feel less scary when you put it out there yourself like that... so beat them to the punch and invite in the guidance hehe... then you are the one actually in control❣️ Hope you do give it a go and join in. I'd love to read a short story from you !LUV !ALIVE
