Despite the differences—and there certainly are some—between the reality in Spain and the situation you describe, I feel a strong affinity for what you’re saying... just as I feel an aversion to the pressure to choose sides. In the end, those bad people forced you to seek a better future... and I’m glad you did.

I tend to avoid news and political stuff, but occasionally I do, and then I get triggered... lol... Like with this "vivienda" thing in Spain... They brought a law that was in effect for 2 days... Tricked people into stopping protests... and struck down a law after those 2 days... Ridiculous...
Anyways... sometimes it's good to see bad things happening, and go to support positive stuff...
For the sake of my mental health, I try not to follow the news—we agree on that. The housing issue is ridiculous, especially given the timing of its emergence—until now, there hadn't been a housing problem. It is what it is, and it’s the world we live in... and I accept it... I refuse to get angry over politics.
