Honestly, the countries of the Far East are not in my notebook under "Must see", so I would always choose another destination for pleasure.
In addition to this, as well as the cost of travel, I would also add that I have family obligations (and business too), which determine me a lot (announcing vacations, agreeing vacation dates with my partner...).

It looks like you have a similar view about East as my wife... hehehehe... She also wasn't thrilled about going to Asia... 😃
