Tell us about a memorable friendship experience that made you realize you had found someone who would always have your back. What did they do that left such a lasting impression on you, and how has that friendship changed your view about life?

There is this common saying that says " there is a kind of friend you will have in this life that is as close as siblings or even more". This is the kind of friendship I have with my friend.

There is a level that friendship will get to, that you will start behaving alike, think alike, have thesame view about life and all.

There is this particular second or minutes that it hits me, that truly this is a forever friend, although I have known her for years I never thought about it till that particular day.

When my dad died more than ten years, she visited me almost everyday, staying and making sure I'm occupied with talks and stories that will give me comfort, fastforward to when my mom died, she did thesame thing all over again.

She came to me one faithful day, telling me about how she intend to switch her course of studies from law to health science, she asked me if it's too late starting afresh because of her age, and I encouraged her to go for it. I'm not that type of friend that takes and takes and not give back, i make sure that care given to me is reciprocated.

I also remember confiding on her about a particular relationship and she advised me, reminding me of the values that has been instilled in me, telling me to never bend for anything or anyone. Mind you I'm that kind of person that find it difficult to open up to others, but I did for her. All these and some other little things made me to realise that she is going to stick with me for a very long time if not forever.

Now these are the kind of things I value in friendship because I hardly give any person that chance, but she, she is exceptional I give her that.

Not all friend will stand by you even when you have nothing to give, will defend or intentionally build you alongside your character even without knowing.

Today as a person, I choose value, respect in individual who intend to create a lasting relationship with me, individual who have almost thesame view about life as me.

Indeed she was my borrowed strength in my moments weakness and pain. In moments of celebration, she is also there, and for that I'm forever grateful for having her in my life.
