I just found a new fried rice hack, turmeric. I use turmeric a lot for other purposes, not in fried rice. This is a good one, and I can tell it's your favourite from how you described it.
I would have love to know how you use turmeric on it though, if you're willing to share. 🙂

I don't mind sharing. So I used turmeric powder to parboil my rice, it gives it a very beautiful and unique color.
