My Home, My Way: Finding Joy In Rebuilding

When it comes to rebuilding, it is hard in every way. It is different from starting a new project but then, most times we do this regardless and then the question comes to mind, why? Why do we have to rebuild what has once been built? Personally, I don’t like anything that would be stressful. I always prefer taking the easy route as much as possible.

When it comes to a home, I think it’s a bit different. One thing I believe is that nothing good comes easy. It might only seem easy because we got lucky or grace is just on us. If I’m given a choice to either rebuild my house or just get a already built house, I will rather go for rebuilding not because I like stress but because there is this feeling you get for doing something the way you want it.

By rebuilding my house, I get the opportunity to be familiar with everything about the house. I get to connect with the house and find purpose in living in such a place because it took me effort, money and time. Being able to rebuild also gives me the ability to put things in place exactly how I want it to be without any biased mind of how things have been.

And besides all of that, I don’t think it will be exactly stressful as long as I have the money to get things done. Dedicating my time and effort will be fun. I don’t just get to have fun but I also learn in the process which makes it worthwhile. I want a big and beautiful house and that’s because I enjoy having people around. And also knowing I will get more opportunity to help those who might be stranded is something for me too.

So if I have to put in the effort, time and money to achieve it, I think it will all be worth it because most especially, I’ll get my comfort too since I’m building it in a way to suit my tastes and style. And if I think things will get too hard, I can always keep the process on slow mode. There is really no need to rush it. I can just keep on rebuilding until I get my desired result.

I believe this is the beauty of being able to rebuild because you decide what it is going to be. And at every level, you feel fulfilled and happy about what you have accomplished.
