I know the influencer (aka creator, the person who gave me the idea of) of the "forky" name, which then resulted in me creating @forkyishere. Which is the amazing @crimsonclad and she was a joint witness with @followbtcnews (Jeff) for a lot of time in this chain, until a few months ago.
But Crim progressed to other efforts on HIVE:

Having that said, and really taking seriously the diversity factor, I actually don't recall any other female witnesses. But, more importantly, even if I know (by the account name) and not because I can identify one as female (would be probably because I have never been on HIVE fest before... my fault ☹️, where probably everyone can find out about everyone in real life), this is actually something I consider important to know.
Although, there are probably lots of ladies on HIVE that help in multiple other ways and might or might not be involved in witnessing (maintaining/running a node) the chain. Can be daunting just to try to think who they might be, and that's probably because the chain has just grown so much, I can't possibly follow things as I could before. So we logically concentrate time on what we find attractive and can continue helping with.
If you or Crim know about any female witnesses, please slap me in the face and let me know!

Yes, I definitely want to know about any women doing important (seen and unseen) roles on Hive, even if we don't currently have any female witnesses, as well as anyone else who is a minority in any way (location, ethnicity, etc) who is also doing it for the right reasons.

Influencer is far too kind a word! I still giggle every time I butcher someone's name purposefully live on air even if I do know what it actually is, and if it is for you know who~ ;) There were a few of us lady witnesses over the years, and I'm sure there will be again. I'm still figuring out how I feel about booting up another box in the future- there's a l w a y s stuff to do and as I'm realizing, whatever it is that we all choose to pick up and do around here, it's part of what makes Hive. The amount that so many people have taken on over the past few years has grown exponentially! I've definitely thought more about which aspects of the things I've worked on over the past half a decade are the most valuable to the people around me, and that's sort of why I've put most of my effort now into the admin/blockchain level stuff; it's pretty boring to hear about and thankless overall, but I think it matters because it lets each new generation of people building here feel supported and confident in making Hive their home 🖤
