Getting a PPL is definitely and education! My husband has a PPL, and although not current with hours, it's a license for life. He talks about all of what he had to learn, and trust me, it's in my opinion, the equivalent of having a college degree! There is so much you have to learn from weights and balances to learning how to react during a real life spin and so much more! That spin would terrify me!
