It holds a lot of memories #231

Good day, amazing people of the Hive blockchain! Welcome back to my blog. This is another edition in the Ladies of Hive community topic: share a photo with everyone, one of your favourites, and tell us the story behind that day. Why is it important to you? What does it mean to you?

Until I leave this world, it can never come to my mind to share my favourite picture. Seeing this prompts me to visit my phone gallery to take a close look at some of my pictures. All thanks to @marivic10 for this great opportunity for us to reflect on our favourite pictures and the memories the pictures hold.

For the past two years this has become my favourite picture. There is no day I will not go to my phone gallery to see this particular picture. The person in the picture is my late dad. It is very hard for me to believe that he is no more, but I can’t question my creator because he knows best.

I have to make this my favourite picture because I can’t see him again; he has gone to a place of no return. This is the only thing I have left to always remember him. This is the picture of my first love, the man that means everything to me, a man that has been my support since the day I was born.

Anytime I looked at my dad's picture, I realised that indeed this world is not our home; we are visitors, and one day we will all go back to our creator. I made this picture my favourite because I learnt a lot of lessons. The moment my dad passed, at that moment I realised who my true friends are and who were with me because of what they get from me.

The story behind the picture is that my dad lived a good life while on earth. Even now, it is so hard for me to recover from my dad's death; he is my best friend, my mentor. His absence has really affected me mentally and physically.

This photo holds a lot of memories for me, and each day I get to realise that the life we are in isn’t really worth the struggle. It teaches me that it is very important to live a good legacy while on earth because one day I will be lifeless just like my dad.

I cherish this picture so much because one day I will be a mom, and I will show my kids the picture of their grandfather (my dad). This picture means a lot to me; I will save this picture at all costs. Whenever I think about my dad with the picture, I always feel his presence.

This picture keeps reminding me of my dad and the bond we share together, although it hurts me most times knowing fully well that I will not see him again.

Live the best of our life because the moment you passed your wealth and whatever you have will be share within your family why not live the best part of your life.
