Hi ladies, it's a new week with new exciting prompt from @ladiesofhive. It's really a good thing knowing what truly drive us in life, either fire of passion, comfort of profit, or the freedom of independence! If you'll ask majority of people i'm sure what most people is after is money. Money is what majority will go for, others will just like to do what they love, no matter thr situation, or outcomes. But as for me, my answer has always been a little personal.
To me, i always see myself motivated being independence. Sure i know Passion and profits are very important too, put yet i'll choose over being independence than passion and profits. I've always dream of living my life, where i'm not tied down with anyone, where i don't have to wake up very early im the morning and rushing to resume work under anybody. I like having my own freedom. Thought of freedom itself gives me more energy to work harder.
I remember vividly when i was doing a white collar job back then, where i'll have to wake up as early as 5am and resume to office by 8am , close by 7pm and got home by 10pm. Life was very miserable and tough for me back then. All because of the monthly salary that i was looking forward too. I did this for good 2years plus, yet nothing to show for it. That's when i talked to myself and made that bold decision to step away and start doing something that gives me access to full control of my own time. Though it wasn't easy making that decision then, infact people around me thought i was mad, that i didn't know what i'm really doing, some thought i was wasting my time.
But I thank i made the decision back then, because that decision turn out to be the best move for the peace of my mind. Because i know have full control of my own time, living fine and healthy.
Don't be surprise me picking Freedom above passion and profits. I know why i choose that and to me being independence doesn't mean you're rejecting money or ignoring passion. But if you think it very well, you'll see that i didn't choose wrong while going for freedom. It means i want to build my life, where i can balance them all without loosing myself in the process. Only a deep thinkers will understand. Let's be realistic now, Do you know that when you are independence, passion flows better, and even money finds it's way naturally without going through some unnecessary pains.
So if you'll ask me, being independence is what truly motivates me, it's a way of me growing, learning, failing and rising again on my own terms. Aftall it's not just about surviving, it's about living a life that counts and feel true to me.

Nothing beats being in control of your time. When I was job hunting I made it clear to my intending employers that unless they are paying me for over time, 9 to 5 is 9 to 5.

Reading your post inspires me to create my own and participate. You're very brave to choose independence, and I think it's the best decision, since everything else comes naturally.
I completely agree with your approach on this topic. I also think independence is very important, followed by passion and finances. But the most important thing is to feel good in all aspects.
Best regards
