“When Working From Home Starts to Feel Too Comfortable”- #281

For someone who had lost count of years since the last time I did a cooperate work that involved going to the office, this got me thinking. Meanwhile just some days ago, I was talking with a friend and I mentioned to her that I am
Considering getting a nine to five Job.

I have actually nursed that thought of going back to office work. I do not majorly know if it’s the quest for extra and more stable means of income or the fact that I feel that I am becoming too lazy from too much staying at home.

I had been working from home or I’d say working at home for years basically for myself and not having to answer to anyone. So I have really enjoyed the privacy of doing my own thing.

But I think this prompt may be dealing with another aspect of working from home where we are probably working for people or companies and are answerable to them but have to work remotely.

I have a lot of people who do that as their basic means of living and work. The same do not really apply to me even though I also work for some persons but that’s all on a flexible term as they are not paying me per se. Hence that strict work environment even though I am working from home is not there.

I’d say that working from home in any of the occasions is great and better than working from the office where you get to go to the office every other day. Sometimes I see the hustle and bustle that the coperate people around me have to go through.

They wake up early in the mornings, as early as 5am, they are out of the house in a bid to beat traffic and arrive at work early. One was even telling me how she has to sleep in the bus and also sleep more at work before it’s actual time to start working for the day.

They come back late in the night, tired and worn out. Sleep and repeat the process all again ,day in day out, week in week out. It’s quite a lot of stress hence I think that working from home is rather a better option because of the less stress involved.

Outside the less stress, one can save some money from not paying for transport fare to and fro the office daily. A lot of my friends complain of the exorbitant price they have to pay to just get to work. Working from home helps us save more money.

Having distinguished between the two, we see that working for home works for me better than going to the office.
