The Craziest Fruit I Ate In The Philippines

Fruit is nature's candy and if you have never traveled to a tropical country you may have no idea the verity of fruit that the world has to offer. Let me share with you a few of my favorite exotic fruits found in the Philippines.

First up is the Marang! There are claims that this fruit can improve vision.

Second up is the Artocarpus Heterophyllus! There are claims that this fruit can help with bone loss.

The second one seems to be the jack fruit, and the third looks like a passion fruit here.

You're right! The usage of scientific names made it more exotic. :)

I both love jackfruit and passion fruit, considered to be among my favorite fruits! I lived in Northern Luzon wherein those fruits are accessible. My Manila friends got weirded out with the passion fruit because they can't fathom swallowing seeds.

Marang I think is more common in the South of the Philippines (i.e. Mindanao), similar to Durian.
