Writing on this prompt might look real to you reading this entry, but don't be surprise it's just an imaginary dream i've been having for some years back now, and i've really been finding means like this for me to be able to write out what's in my mind for a long time. Watching k-drama movies made me fall in love with this city called Jeju in korea and sincerely the day i found out this city , that was when i've started dreaming of this city. Though i haven't unpacked yet, but i had to write this down because today felt like stepping into a dream i didn't even know i had.
To be honest, flying into Jeju was already an experience. Like from the window, and all i could see was endless blue ocean kissing sky and also this green island rising gently in the middle of it all, like a secret mearnt just for me, i'm sure the question that will be going through your mind as you reading this now, is have i been there before, for me to be writing as if i've been there, but like i said earlier before i started my writing, everything is just an imaginary dream that i had about the city, gotten some of this little experiences from the k-drama movies i've watched in the past.
Having said this, While Choosing my favorite city i'll like to visit first, i choose Jeju first, not Seoul, not Busan because i wanted to start slow. Grounded with nature. You back then, i've always believed that water heals, and jeju is surrounded by it, wrapped in waves and soft and survisticated wind. My first stop was Seongsan llchulbong, Sunrise Peak. All this place mention has been seen online already, but nothing prepare me for standing at the edge of that crater, feeling the ocean breeze on my face, watching the horizon stretch out like it had no end. Imagine how sweet that kind of situation will be.
I always felt quiet, not just around me, but inside me. Like something uncurled in my chest that i didn't even know i was holding tight. Imagine that tiny moment of buying fruit from a local ajumma who smiled like she has seen a thousand sunrises made me feel like i was exactly where i needed to be. I really do not know how the rest of Korea will look like, but Jeju has already given me something stillness, beauty and a reminder that sometimes peace doesn't come loud, it comes in wave.
