Somalia is facing famine conditions as poor rain and skyrocketing food prices leave almost 40 percent of Somalis on the brink,” the World Food Programme, a humanitarian agency of the United Nations Children’s Fund, said in a statement.
We are literally about to start taking food from the hungry to feed the starving,” WFP Somalia country director, El-Khidir Daloum, said in the statement, describing the nation as “on the cusp of a humanitarian catastrophe.source

One discouraging factor about the starvation is the mark it leaves in the sense that some health conditions are about to set in which includes ; kwashiorkor, deficiency in vitamins which will in other way round cause a breakdown in too many body systems. In the absence of the necessary foods and vitamins a disfigure in the morphological arrangement. In various other countries, other disastrous nature shortcomings are been felt which will enhance another bad deal within the said country.

According to the agency, six million Somalis, or 40 percent of the population are now facing extreme levels of food insecurity, according to a new report by the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification, almost a two-fold increase since the beginning of the year.
It also said that about 1.4 million children were facing acute malnutrition, with around one-quarter facing severe acute malnutrition. Children under the age of five were the most vulnerable, with access to food and milk scarce because of rising commodity prices and livestock issues. source

Drought being a period whereby there is a cessation of rain, dew or frog is often encountered when the atmospheric condition changes over time. The impact associated to this is the fact that the cessation of rain affects the agricultural input because the necessary nutrient needed for the well doing of those crops isn't supplemented with rain by so doing causing a down in the percentage of agricultural input. Somalia being a country that survive with farming and agricultural input is now facing danger and the chances of survival limited because it seems that the source of their survival is cut short. If help is not provided to them, then the worst is said to happen.
