RE: Scholars, Scribes, and Statesmen: Story of Umayyad Education [ENG-URDU]

When we were in fifth grade, most of my friends came from strong religious backgrounds. For the next five years, my social circle was highly religious; we read a lot of books about religion and history together.

​Fast forward to today, and some of them are now religious scholars or Muftis, while others write Shari'ah law and hold notable positions in Pakistan.

​While I may not be a scholar myself, everything I share goes through a process to confirm that the knowledge is accurate. Instead of relying on AI for verification, I consult a few friends who have degrees and specialized skills in Islamic history. Sometimes they even gift me new books, knowing my deep interest in the Caliphate era.

Oh, and my fiancee also completed her six-year Alimah course in Islam. In Pakistan, this qualification is legally recognized as the equivalent of a double MA. So, while I may be a software engineer, she is technically three steps ahead of me in terms of formal education! Although, job market is a different story.
