Uptober Turned To Be Rektober .:. November 1st HivePUD
I'm not a big fan of these "inventions" that crypto "influencers" made up... Uptober, Rektober, Moonvember, etc. They are used as a "comforting prize" for all those who did the same as everyone else, to get the feeling of being part of something... Part of a success (if we go up), or failure (if we go down)... Labels can be changed, and not rarely, they are changed at the end of the month (in our example)... Why? Well, everyone has to be aware of the most important thing... NOBODY KNOWS where the markets will go!

This month, the biggest highlight, or maybe better said "downlight", or even better, gaslight, was that October 10th, when crypto markets were devastated... That was the biggest liquidation in crypto history, 10 times bigger than the previous record... It was huge!!! I know that all of us said the day after it, "we will get another V-shape recovery and be OK..." Well, it didn't happen... The closest to a V-shape was rather a "square root"... 🙂
That event was of such a big magnitude that it was impossible to recover in a day or so... I would argue that we are still recovering from it, and we will need at least a few more weeks to recover, or even months...
What about HIVE? How did we perform?
Well, to be brutally honest, not really good... If we want to comfort ourselves, there were bigger cryptos that did worse, but it's not the point to be mid-worse... HIVE isn't a Top 100 crypto for a long time, and those that have a low marketcap pay the biggest price...
On the other side, not everything is bad... When these things happen, those who are smart and crypto-focused use the situation to accumulate more of their favorite tokens... A lot of people got stunned by this dip and left (they will come back later... at least some), which means fewer people are active... That sounds bad, but it is good for those who stayed... Less content means less competition, which leads to better author rewards on your posts! Also, staying on the platform in bad times is rewarding, and some people appreciate that (including myself)!
What about curation rewards? Not sure if you have checked, but the APR on curation rewards went up for 10-20%, which is very nice pump... It's the right time to USE YOUR HivePower and UPVOTE posts from people who are still here, in these shaky times...

We are coming to the final stage of this marathon HP race... Only 2272 meters, pardon HIVE, needed to reach my yearly goal of 125K HivePower!!!
The whole of October was a bit weird... Not just by the events I mentioned before, but also for my (de)motivation to create posts and share things with you guys... There wasn't a day that I didn't come to HIVE, but I wasn't motivated to publish posts... I hope that will change in November and December as I have tons of stuff to share...
Perhaps I was too lazy to create content, but I was consistent in powering up some HIVE every single day over the last seven months. So, my seventh #HivePUM badge is in my collection!!!

To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month OR create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP... Sounds easy, but it can be tricky... 🙂

makes sense to skip the Uptober type labels, the square root recovery line made me smile :)
The curation APR bump to 10 to 20 percent is the bit my numbers brain hooks onto, because compounding on HP during quiet spells plus better author re;wards can quietly outrun the drama, and staying through dips often pays back later.
Big kudos on another 1000 staked and being just 2272 from 125k, taht steady daily habit is the real edge in these choppy markets.
Well, the curation APR didn't go over 10% yet, and probably will not (maybe just slightly), but the accumulation is the best during the hard times... I noticed in myself that I'm not as active as I was before... It wasn't my choice, but rather a "stun moment" produced by following the market dip... lol... 😃
I hardly check the price haha. Writing is my hobby, so whenever I'm not choked up with offline work and all, I'm always here sharing my thoughts, engaging with others and just having fun. But I hope the proce pumps .. It could motivate many to stay active.
It's good to hear that your motivation doesn't depend on the price, as if it did, you would probably have gone a long time ago... lol...
The truth is that the HIVE price is the best onboarding tool, but when people are here, we should keep them for the community, fun, and engagement...
1k power up and monthly power up badge? You've done an amazing job again this month, man. These price fluctuations are terrible for altcoins like ours. Every dip and rise pushes us further down, but hopefully our time will come.

I know people obsess over prices, but I've always played the long game with Hive and it is generally fun every day. Even though the community is small I can find plenty to enjoy and I am earning something. I just don't blog anywhere else. These are turbulent times, but I think Hive still has plenty of life in it.

Yeah, people who are here for multiple years don't care a lot about the price... I know I was checking the price multiple times per day when I came here... But nowadays, I don't bother with that anymore...
But, it's true that recently I suck with content creation... for some other reasons... lol... 😂

It has been a crazy year. Some funny games being played with the price. We can only wait for the supply shock to correct this, until then, continue stacking at cheaper prices.
Yeah... It looks like manipulation is at the highest levels... Tbh, it was expected... I just hope that those "institutions" will ask for proofs of their BTC (and crypto), and not just buy the paper with written amounts...

Downtober was a surprising outcome for many of us, I think it may take months to recover from the Oct 10 event. Noticed that my curation APR as jumped to almost 10%, now I know why, thanks!

Honestly though, I’m not sure why people are just citing October? We collapsed during the entire bull cycle. Bitcoin bottomed at 15K in November 2022. Hive was .25 cents same time. We have not just not participated but gone down during it way before October. I love Hive! But this October thing seems not relevant. We have been collapsing and are lower from our 2022 cycle low way before the crash below .15 cents. !LADY !PIZZA
Sure, October in and of itself is not the main culprit here, it just played a role, I mean the event, in pushing prices down further but the trend was already at play. Do you see a lower high forming before the next leg down or any break of structure from this downward trend?
