Making Peace With the Bear .:. February 1st HivePUD

If you are a crypto noob, you will need some time to accomodate with different cycles... Of course, the most painful is the bear cycle, when your favorite crypto is going down, without any signs of recovery... It's a painful image to see, but it's a learning curve... I suppose the most important thing is to accept things as they are... Some need more time to realize that, some need less, and some never realize that as they quit...

For me, I needed a lot of time to make peace with the bear... Maybe too much time... Anyways, the question WHY power-up 1K HIVE in times like this is pretty valid... On the other side, we can do it the other way around... WHY NOT? 1K HIVE is "only" $80... I can accept losing that much money...

One more thing before going into the numbers for this #HivePUD... There is an unwritten rule of "crypto bros" of NOT SHORTING crypto ever... That's something that I was following for a long time, not because I wanted to be in the crypto bros tribe, but rather because it looked to me like I'm betraying the crypto if I short some token... Well, that's changed recently... lol...

I have my doubts about many of the Top100 tokens as to their use cases, or their "token value" relevance... For example, we can all agree that ETH, SOL, or HIVE have value as they are useful blockchains... They are good tech, they do something useful for users, but what is the MONETARY VALUE of that? How do you stick the USD price to that? I heard many times how the HIVE price is "too low", or "too high", but compared to WHAT is that? What is the "REAL" value? Maybe this price is too high? I took HIVE as an example, but you can take any other cryptocurrency and ask the same question... Believe me, there are some ridiculously high valued tokens that do NOTHING! Pure speculation...

Let me know in the comment section what you think about the "REAL" value of your favorite tokens? HIVE, ETH, BTC, SOL, or some other? Why do you think it should be cheaper, or more expensive? Who would/should buy them (to push the price up, someone has to buy) and WHY?

We didn't receive the #HivePUM badge for December 2025, and I'm unsure if we will receive the one from January this year... Well, it's not a big deal, and I will continue doing these daily power-ups regardless of whether I earn the badge...

I didn't miss a day to power up from March 5th, 2025... Let's see if I can reach the full year of daily power-ups! 😃

To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month OR create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP... Sounds easy, but it can be tricky... 🙂

So, what is #HivePUD?

Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is short for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It all began with great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork, and is held every 1st day of the month.
