I've been joining the Hive Power Up initiative again this year.
Powering up your Hive is important to increase your influence on the blockchain. You have a bigger vote for the projects and witnesses.
Apart from that you also get higher curation rewards when you have more Hive Power. Of course you can choose to automatically get your post rewards in 100% Hive Power, but doing it monthly is more fun. And you might get some extra liquid Hive from delegations, tips or other sources.

My amount of Hive I power up isn't that much this month. The reason for that is that I do a 50/50 payout in Hive and HBD. I used to convert all HBD directly into Hive, but I'm trying to grow my HBD in my HBD savings account as well since I like to profit from the 15% and balance my stake between the two tokens a bit better.
That is why I'm powering up justbover 44 Hive now.

At the moment my Hive stake is 43,639.169 HP and I have 73.278 HBD in my savings.
I had set my #saturdaysavers goal to 35,000 Hive and 4000 HBD.
As you can see I reached my Hive goal already. That is because I focussed on gathering more Hive and converting my HBD for Hive.
I'm planning to sell some more Hive for HBD when the price goes up enough, so I can reach my HBD goal as well.

If I would sell the amount above my Hive goal at the current price ($0.22) it would get me 1900 HBD
I need the price of Hive to reach at least $0.45 before I'm abke to reach both goals.

Let's hope this will hapoen later this year!
