Every human being grows up listening to a specific language since birth. From childhood, we grow up learning the language that our parents use to speak to us. We learn to speak that language. And we express our thoughts throughout our lives using that language. The language we learn from childhood and use to express our thoughts is considered our mother tongue. The language of the place where a person is born is his mother tongue. For example, if a person is born abroad and starts hearing English from his parents from childhood. Then of course, according to the parents, the child's mother tongue will be English. Again, if someone starts hearing Hindi from his parents and later expresses his thoughts in Hindi. Then of course, his mother tongue is Hindi. We grew up hearing the use of Bengali from our parents since childhood. So we also learned to express our thoughts using our beloved mother tongue, Bengali, from childhood.

How many brave people have fought for our mother tongue, that is, Bengali language, and have preserved our language. If these great people had not fought for our language, then perhaps we would not have this Bengali language and we would not have been able to consider this Bengali language as our mother tongue. Our Bengali mother tongue is a very great language and this language is currently being neglected. In the case of people of other languages, it is seen that they do not tolerate insults to their language in any way and people coming from other places or areas always have to speak to them using the language of their area. That is, there are many areas in our world where they have to speak their language, otherwise they do not speak to anyone in any other language. This shows how important they consider their language to be. But in our society, it is seen that now speaking English, speaking Hindi or speaking any other language means being educated and modern.

There are many people around us who, to prove their modernity and that they are much more educated, pretend that they do not know Bengali language or cannot speak Bengali at all, only they can speak and write in English and Hindi. But even if it is modernity for them, it should be an insult to our mother tongue for us. Because if someone speaks or writes in their mother tongue, it does not mean that he is uneducated or not modern. People can be modern and much more educated by using or speaking their mother tongue than an educated person who speaks English or Hindi. Our society is changing so much day by day that they themselves do not understand that by adopting the culture and modernity of others in their lives, they are insulting their own culture, mother tongue and mother land. In fact, due to our modernity and adoption of foreign culture and language, we are the ones who are degrading our culture, mother tongue and mother land to others.

Many people in today's society think that if they cannot use English, they are a backward person from the society. Therefore, while learning English, they are insulting their mother tongue and forgetting to speak in their mother tongue. This is a great insult to our society and our mother tongue and with it the extinction of our language. If we do not respect our language like this and get busy learning other languages, while we forget to speak and write in our own language and various Bengali words, then surely one day our mother tongue will disappear from our life and society. So if we love our mother tongue, then surely we must first give space to our mother tongue and try to express our thoughts using our mother tongue. Our mother tongue, that is, Bengali, is a very beautiful and sweet language which is loved by people in our country and abroad, but we are neglecting it. So, while we have time, we must value our mother tongue and increase the use of our mother tongue.
