Primeramente, estamos ante una serie donde la protagonista busca desquitarse de las personas que abusaron de ella en su pasado. Aquí se explora temas de justicia, redención y superación personal a través de un enfoque muy oscuro.
El hecho de que el personaje principal haya pasado 17 años planeando y preparándose para ajustar cuentas con sus abusadores muestra su dedicación y su deseo de poner fin a la crueldad.
La venganza puede ser un tema complejo, y cada persona tiene diferentes perspectivas sobre su validez y consecuencias. En la serie, este sentimiento puede servir como una forma de empoderamiento y cierre para la protagonista, pero también puede plantearte preguntas como espectador, sobre la moralidad y los límites de la justicia personal.
La historia se centra en Moon Dong-eun, interpretada por la actriz Song Hye Kyo. Dong-eun es una persona cautelosa, introvertida, inteligente y analítica. Su vida cambió drásticamente cuando sufrió abusos por parte de sus compañeros de escuela, lo que la llevó a convertirse en una joven triste y temerosa. Con el paso del tiempo, cultivó sentimientos de odio y rencor, lo que afectó su capacidad para llevar una vida normal como adulta. Sin embargo, Dong-eun se convierte en la figura central que expondrá la verdadera naturaleza de Park Yeo-jin, interpretada por la actriz Lim Ji-yeon, quien fue su principal abusadora.
Yeo-jin creció creyendo que su posición privilegiada y su riqueza la protegerían de cualquier consecuencia negativa. Sin embargo, Dong-eun, con su determinación y astucia, comienza a desmantelar sus mentiras y a enfrentarla a los miembros de su grupo de amigos.
Las escenas de bullying en la serie fueron impactantes y dolorosas de presenciar. El bullying es un problema real y lamentablemente afecta a muchas personas en su vida adulta. Es desgarrador ver cómo algunas víctimas no reciben el apoyo adecuado de los adultos que los rodean.
El objetivo de la serie es generar conciencia sobre el acoso entre adolescentes y sus consecuencias. Al mostrar estas situaciones difíciles, se busca crear empatía en el público y fomentar la reflexión sobre la importancia de tomar medidas para prevenirlo y abordarlo.
En lo personal, me gustó el guión. Kim Eun-sook es una talentosa guionista y pudo crear diálogos memorables a lo largo de toda la serie. Recuerdo frases como: " ...Hice un brindis en honor a mi eventual corrupción y tu destrucción..." Una de mis preferidas es cuando Ju Yeo-jeong ( interpretado por el actor Lee Do-hyun) le pregunta a Dong-eun si ella quisiera salir con él y le asegura que la hará muy feliz. Ella ríe a su vez de felicidad y le responde : "No estoy buscando un príncipe, lo que estoy buscando es un verdugo que tenga una espada".
Cuando veas esta serie te sentirás intrigado y concentrado en lo que sucederá a continuación. Esa sensación de anticipación y la imprevisibilidad de los acontecimientos son elementos que hacen que esta producción sea muy atractiva.
Si disfrutas ver los dramas surcoreanos, es posible que encuentres similitudes en el impacto emocional y la intensidad de historias como la película surcoreana "Parásitos" de 2019. Ambas producciones tienen la capacidad de cautivar al público y dejar una fuerte impresión.

First of all, we are dealing with a series where the protagonist seeks to get even with the people who abused her in her past. Here, themes of justice, redemption and self-improvement are explored through a very dark approach.
The fact that the main character has spent 17 years planning and preparing to settle the score with her abusers shows her dedication and desire to put an end to cruelty.
Revenge can be a complex subject, and everyone has different perspectives on its validity and consequences. In the series, this sentiment can serve as a form of empowerment and closure for the protagonist, but it can also raise questions for you as a viewer, about morality and the limits of personal justice.
The story centers on Moon Dong-eun, played by actress Song Hye Kyo. Dong-eun is a cautious, introverted, intelligent and analytical person. Her life changed drastically when she was abused by her schoolmates, which led her to become a sad and fearful young woman. Over time, she cultivated feelings of hatred and resentment, which affected her ability to lead a normal life as an adult. However, Dong-eun becomes the central figure who will expose the true nature of Park Yeo-jin, played by actress Lim Ji-yeon, who was her main abuser.
Yeo-jin grew up believing that her privileged position and wealth would protect her from any negative consequences. However, Dong-eun, with his determination and cunning, begins to dismantle her lies and confront her with the members of her group of friends.
The bullying scenes in the series were shocking and painful to witness. Bullying is a real problem and unfortunately affects many people in their adult lives. It is heartbreaking to see how some victims do not receive adequate support from the adults around them.
The aim of the series is to raise awareness about bullying among teenagers and its consequences. By showing these difficult situations, it seeks to create empathy in the audience and encourage reflection on the importance of taking action to prevent and address it.
Personally, I liked the script. Kim Eun-sook is a talented screenwriter and was able to create memorable dialogue throughout the series. I remember lines such as, " ...I made a toast in honor of my eventual corruption and your destruction..." One of my favorites is when Ju Yeo-jeong ( played by actor Lee Do-hyun) asks Dong-eun if she would like to date him and assures her that he will make her very happy. She laughs in turn in happiness and replies : "I'm not looking for a prince, what I'm looking for is an executioner who has a sword."
When you watch this series you will feel intrigued and focused on what will happen next. That sense of anticipation and the unpredictability of events are elements that make this production very appealing.
If you enjoy watching South Korean dramas, you may find similarities in the emotional impact and intensity of stories like the 2019 South Korean film "Parasites." Both productions have the ability to captivate audiences and leave a strong impression.
