Welcome to this week's new CineTV Community Newspaper.
Another week has passed. Last week I wrote about how it gets dark earlier in the day and lighter later in the morning. This week has also added that we have entered a period in which it is much colder than normal for this time of year. Normally it should be around 7 degrees, but yesterday and today my fingers almost froze off while walking, yeah, exxagerating a bit of course, but it was very close. The temperature is just above or just below freezing. And for the time being, little change is expected. Now you can complain about that, that doesn't help much. So what do you do then? That's right, those blankets on the couch, candles, making snacks, drinks and organizing cuddly movie nights!
It's December folks! I think we all deserve a break from the hard work all year round, right? Well, think again. Last week I told ya'll that you couldn't expect any community news in this last month of the year. Today I'm here with a bunch of awesome news!
Are you ready? Let's start this week with a message that many of you have probably already seen in the contest this week. Starting this week, the contest winners not only win CINE tokens and ECENCY points, but there are also specially designed CONTEST NFTs for our prize winners! How wonderful and special is that? A pat on the back to our @caulderfreeman who came up with this great idea and design.
Yes, now that this has been brought to your attention again, you naturally ask yourself what the point of this NFT is, except that you can show it in all your content and it is just a nice virtual boost of course. And we have an answer for that too... If you've ever had a good look around on our CineTV frontend, you've probably seen it before. Seen what? Seen our NFT Marketplace of course! We have a marketplace on our CineTV frontend.
Ah, you already feel him, don't you! Yes, you can also trade this NFTs, only if you still want to after you have won such an honorary prize? That is of course another question! Anyway, the feature is readily available on the CineTV frontend. And if you're going to take a look now after reading in the newspaper that the possibility exists, feel free to look around at the NFTs that are now ready to pick up. Who knows, you might find the perfect Christmas present here!
If you already thought this was great news, get ready! We have more. You can now also earn LEGION in the Cine pool on Tribaldex (Cine / Swap.Hive). If you're hoping to get your hands on some Legion and don't want to buy it directly from the market, here's another chance to earn it by making your Cine and Hive work for you. Money makes money. Ideal right?
Then we go to today's latest news. Starting this week you will be spoiled with something new. From next week @frey97 will regularly publish a magazine from the @cinetv account, which focuses specifically on our younger readers. Now of course everyone understands that it won't hurt to read this also when you're a little older, after all, a light and airy magazine is always recommended to read. Keep your eyes open, tomorrow the first magazine of her hand will appear. We all hope you will like it.
By the way, did you already know that Frey is also active on Instagram for CineTV? If you didn't know that yet, quickly go to Instagram and stay informed about the ups and downs in the CineTV world!
Wow, that was a lot of news today. Completely unexpected, but that just indicates that you really need to keep your eyes peeled. There may suddenly be news that you don't want to miss. We do like the unexpected a bit, which is to keep you on your toes. LOL.
So let's continue with the #writingprompts. You know you can find those on our TWITTER account, right? To find an interesting writing prompt to your liking, I would strongly recommend you to scroll through our Twitter account. You can use any writing prompt at any time, and of course this also gives an extra chance for curation.
And even though we very much like you to go over to our Twitter, we have a weekly post with some of our writingprompts. It's there for you to read how the writing prompts came about, but of course you can also use this blog for inspiration if you get stuck looking for a topic to blog about!
Let's move on to our Contest!
Have you ever thought about all the different ways you can 'win'. You can win a lottery, but you can also achieve important victories on a personal level. Winning in a sporting competition... and I'm sure I can think of many more things if I keep doing that. But of course we're talking about a CineTV Community contest here, so bring on the movies or TV series that represent the ultimate 'winning' for you. This week's contest is all about: A Movie that represents Winning
Let your storytelling talent come to life, summon all the witches and convince us with eerily good emotions. If you already submitted your entry, GREAT! If you still have to write it, the submission deadline is The submission deadline is 13th December, 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time.
As you know by now, We love to read your personal stories, not only blogs written for the contest. Why is that one movie or series so special to you? What impact has it had on you? Did a movie or series change your mind about certain things? Just to name a few examples.
Our Movie Star of the Week is the next part of the newspaper. The Movie Star of the week challenge is a challenge that is NOT intended to become a second wikipedia or IMBD. It is NOT meant to take info from the internet and reiterate this info in your own words in a blog.
This challenge is meant to let your personal opinion be heard.
If no blog or comment meets these conditions, then we will not distribute CINE tokens. We take the 100 CINE that would have been there for that week to the next week, and eventually the person who writes the comment, or the blog that does meet the conditions, has a chance to win a lot more CINE at once. But again, only comments or blogs that meet the condition have a chance.
And again, the only condition is that it is your own opinion. No biography about the actor or actress. No filmography of the actor or actress. No! We want to read your opinion.
So let's quickly take a look at what ya'll thought about Johnny Depp.
It definitely seems that Johnny Depp was speaking to more of you. Several people have made a shot at the Cine Jackpot we built up, and as you know, this is mainly about personal opinions. The how and why an actor is or is not interesting is important for a chance to win a nice extra. This week there were 4 people who met this condition. Two of them had written a nice blog about Johnny, and two had written a personal comment. Thank you for this!
This also means that these four people will be delighted with 50 Cine and 22.5 Ecency points each. This will be sent to your accounts later today, @bethyjade, @mairene1, @nbarrios67 and @thunderjack. Thank you again
So this means that next week we have 165 Cine tokens and 90 Ecency Points to distribute. Join in I would say. It doesn't have to cost you much. No research or anything. All we want to see is your personal idea, feeling or memories. A comment or blog, the choice is yours!
Sometimes your eye falls on a message about a certain actor or actress and such a message stays with you for a while. Maybe not even because the actor or actress is so great. Maybe not because this actor or actress has played in the best movies ever. Sometimes it has to do with completely different things that you think about this for a moment.
That happened to me this week when I saw an obituary. And when I started thinking where I knew this actress from, I spontaneously got childhood memories. Yes I'm that old...lol!
The actress I chose this week as Movie Star of the Week passed away last week at the age of 71 after a short illness. After reading that she had died, and her age, I suddenly thought. Gosh, was she already 71? I seriously didn't notice that. I always thought she was a bit younger. At least what I know is that I laughed a lot at her. In the TV series in which I got to know her as an actress, she played a pretty neurotic person, and her acting was fantastic. In any case, she made me laugh many times in those moments. Not that I'm such a great reviewer now. But from the fact that this lady has won several Emmy Awards and Golden Globes, you can already understand that she certainly possessed talents.
Unfortunately, this week the message came out that she passed away. Her children let it be known that she has been even more iconic as a mother than she was as an actress. A great opportunity for us this week to share our memories about:
So you now know what to do. Leave a comment under this newspaper, or write a blog if you prefer. But as said, I'm not looking for biographies or filmographies. It's all on the internet.
What you have to do if you want to earn CINE tokens, is write a comment or blog with YOUR opinion. Why do you like Patrick Swayze or not. What appeals to you in him, or what repels you? Does he make you forget the world, do you see the person he plays or do you still see Patrick Swayze?
So we have 165 CINE tokens to give away next week. Do your best!
If you're going to dedicate a blog towards our "Movie STAR of the week", don't forget to use the tag #moviestaroftheweek and link your blog here in a comments so we can easily find it!
As always, feel free to browse over all blogs written under the #cinetv tag. There are so many awesome blogs. We appreciate each and everone of you, who takes the effort to write up a unique, original blog with movie or tv-related content.
Christmas movies in all shapes and sizes. In Detective Knight: Redemption you are guaranteed a Christmas that you would not want to experience yourself. Whether it's a Christmas you won't soon forget depends on your taste in movies. That it is not a classic Christmas film will not surprise anyone if you know that Bruce Willis is one of the star players in this film.
Do you love a good love drama? If your answer is: YES I DO, you should definitely give this movie a watch. Sam Mendes is taking you back to the '80s in this love drama, The setting is a coastal English town. Nostalgia at its best! At least ... nostalgia for me!
The long-awaited sequel to Avatar is finally here. No words needed to describe what this movie is about. Just, "This is a MUST SEE".
One of my favorite parts of the weekly newspaper. The juicy gossip! I can't help it, I think it's one of the "guilty pleasures", which I will never admit after today. Because like everyone else, I always pretend that I'm not interested in that at all.
While the reactions have erupted over the Harry and Meghan documentary, England is just as busy with Kate and her many outfits.
You would think there are other things to worry about, but perhaps this illustrates the world in which all this takes place. Above all, keep up appearances!
We don't always have to gossip, right? We can also share fun facts in this CineTV Newspaper, and I found the following fun fact. Have you seen the movie "Goodfellas¨? This movie can be called a classic these days. And when I was watching it again tonight with my partner, we noticed that the word "Fuck" is mentioned several times.
I decided to search for this, and to my amazement I also found that the word "Fuck" occurs no less than 246 times. And this source is also the most obvious one. This fact can be found on wikipedia
I told this newspaper earlier that the long-awaited sequel to Avatar will be released this week. And that brought me to the next fact. Did you know that Kate Winslet broke an old Tom Cruise record during the filming of Avatar: The ways of water? In the movie Mission Impossible Tom Cruise had set a record for holding his breath for shooting an underwater movie scene, Kate Winslet has broken this record. In Mission Impossible, Tom Cruise appears to have held his breath for 6 minutes, and Kate broke this record by holding her breath for over 7 minutes.
Nothing but respect here for Kate! I can´t do it ... I´m sure of that.
The year 2022 was a turbulent year for fans of Johnny Depp, but also those of Amber Heard. And with Aquaman's successor nearing completion, Johnny Depp fans may be in for another unpleasant surprise. For Amber Heard fans, it could be a very pleasant surprise awaiting them.
Rumors circulated about this film for a long time, especially about Amber Heard's role in the film. One says that her role would have been considerably reduced, and the other says that she still has a decent role in the film.
The latest news is that Amber is fully featured in the movie, unlike some of the other characters who will no longer be in the film.
Now we have to add that this is not yet the final film, so the final product may still differ from what can be seen here. Let's wait and see what will be reality when the film launches in 2023.
Hopefully you enjoyed this weeks Newspaper!

Interesting that you should choose Kirstie Alley for this week as I chose my entry for Winning Movie contest due to her passing away this week - The Wrath of Khan. Kirstie handled the role of Saavik, a Vulcan Starfleet Cadet, quite well, even if she did fail in the Kobayashi Maru test. Sadly, I have only seen her in a couple of other films, including Sibling Rivalry.
Yeah I always liked her as an actress so the least I could do is honor her by making her Movie Star of the Week. She was very good in comedies, but her acting talent was very versatile. She could handle many roles surprisingly well.
Can you believe that I completely forgot about her role in that!?!?! And I agree she was amazing in that role!
Thought Kirstie was very cool in cheers but that is about all we know about her....
You never watched the 3 "Look who's talking" movies?
oh damn, forgot she was in them...the first one is very funny!

my Bonnie Bride was surprised to learn I have never seen those movies as well.

I'm really looking forward to Avatar 2 :) Have it in my planner for months now to share it this week. Can't wait for that one, and curious if it tops the first movie..
And way to go Kate lol, 7 minutes that's quite long right?
I guess you're not the only one who's looking very much forward to Avatar 2. My stubborn partner couldn't care less though, the also didn't like the first Avatar ...
And yeah, way to go Kate, I know I can't hold my breath that long!
Thanks so much for the support, I had fun making that post! :3

@hetty-rowan you absolutely outdid yourself this week and managed the heavy load of new news extremely well, thanks!
What can you say about Kirstie Alley that hasn't already been said? She was one of my longest Hollywood crushes and I loved her on the big screen equally as much as I did on her television roles. She was a true lady in a town that doesn't always reward one for being a lady. She will be greatly missed, but forever in my heart!
I really appreciate your kindness here @papacrusher ... but even more so, I really regret that I can not reward you the 100 CINE for your absolutely awesome and very well thought comment about Kirstie Alley.
And yes, you are so right. She will be greatly missed.
The only movie I saw Kirstie Alley in was Double the Love so I don't know much about this actress, I am very excited to see Avatar 2 I think it will be amazing!!!!
Thanks for the Cine Tokens and the Ecency points.
Here in Venezuela the series Cheers was not broadcasted, so the first time I saw Kirstie Alley and her magnificent green eyes was in the sequel of Star Trek, the Wrath of Khan where she was a Vulcan as Spock. Then I saw her again in the Look Who's Talking trilogy, in a very funny role. Her performance in Town of the Damned, where she played opposite Christopher Reeve, in an okay performance for a horror/science fiction movie.
I got to see her in the comedy series Veronica's Closet where she plays with ease and credibility a lingerie magnate. Precisely in this series I observed how she began to face fat problems.
Then I saw her in a dramatic role in the film The Last Don and on television in season 2 of the series Scream Queens.
She was a prolific TV actress and a great comedian who moved perfectly in drama, horror and science fiction and who struggled with obesity, managed to lose weight and then put it back on again. I regret her death from colon cancer. I admit that I did not see many of her movies and series, but the little I did see showed that she was a very good actress.
