Two actors have earned my personal admiration. I already know Stephen Graham from other roles, but where I saw him at his best was in the shoes of the nervous and distrustful John Corbett, an undercover cop with a vengeful spirit, during the fifth season of Line of Duty.
In Adolescence, Graham plays another victim: the father of the criminal child. This character has to suffer doubly, or even triply. First, the disappointment of having a homicidal and perhaps psychopathic son, despite the good upbringing he tried to give him. Then, he has to endure such filthy behavior from the community, and finally, not knowing how to treat his son after everything that has happened.
It was never clear to me whether Jamie admired or manipulated his father. And it is precisely this character that is the other brilliantly executed role in the series. Owen Cooper is a talent to watch from now on. The personality shifts he pulled off gave me chills, especially in episode 3, during the interview with the therapist.
I just hope the same thing doesn't happen to him as it did to Ezra Miller. Jokes aside, I think Cooper has a great future, and as far as I know, he was also in Wuthering Heights—in a very commendable role, according to what I've been told, though I haven't actually checked it out myself.
This show is worth it. I repeat, it is not for entertainment; it is about committing to a change in the way we are raising our children. It is a reflection on what we are as a species.

Desde mi punto de vista Adolescence quiere contar una historia que es muy probable que sea cierta aunque parta de la ficción.
Creo que el objetivo original no es entretener al público. Más bien quieren abrirnos los ojos de en lo.que se están convertido nuestros niños, o quizás tal vez en lo que ya se han convertido desde hace mucho tiempo. Recuerdo a mi esposa decir, que si el pequeño Jamie era un monstruo, pues sus propios compañeros de clases lo eran aún más. El hecho de no mostrar empatía por su compañera muerta los hacen peor que a un monstruo.

Yo solo espero que no le pase lo mismo que a Ezra Miller. Bromas aparte, creo que Cooper tiene un gran futuro, y hasta donde sé también, estuvo en Cumbres Borrascosas, en un papel muy meritorio según me contaron pero que realmente no he comprobado.
Vale la pena este show. Repito, no es para entretenerse, es para comprometerse con algún cambio en la forma en la que estamos criando a nuestros hijos. Es para reflexionar sobre lo que somos como especie.
