Das Trump-Handy T1 sieht anders aus als angekündigt, nicht mehr so cool wie auf dem Ankündigungsfoto, und wird nicht in den USA gefertigt, aber zusammengebaut. "Proudly assembled in the USA".

Das T1 soll ein gemoddetes, asiatisches HTC U24 Pro sein, ein Midrange-Smartphone, das für 500 Dollar angeboten wird. Um den gleichen Preis kann man auf Trump Mobile auch ein älteres iPhone 14 erwerben.

Trump-Kritiker sehen in den Merchandise-Produkten ein weiteres Vehikel, wie Trump seine Präsidentschaft dafür nutzt, um sich auf Kosten seiner Anhänger zu bereichern.

The Trump T1 phone looks different than advertised, not as cool as in the promotional pre-launch photo, and isn’t manufactured in the U.S., but assembled there. “Proudly assembled in the USA.”

The T1 is reportedly a modified Asian HTC U24 Pro, a mid-range smartphone priced at $500. For the same price, you can also purchase an older iPhone 14 on Trump Mobile.

Trump critics see the merchandise as yet another way Trump is using his presidency to enrich himself at the expense of his supporters.
