Beim McDonald's in Wien ist es billiger zwei kleine 0.25L Cola zu kaufen, als ein 0.5L Medium-Cola.
Der kleinste Becher kostet nur 1.50 Euro, während 0.5L bereits 3.40 kosten, also um 40 Cent mehr, als wenn man zwei kleine bestellen würde.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Was könnte der Grund für diesen günstigen Einstiegspreis sein? Wie viel kostet ein small und medium Cola bei euch beim McDonald's?

Jetzt habe ich aber eine Preisliste von Deutschland gesehen: Mc Donalds Preise 2026 + Speisekarte - nach der Liste ist es billiger die 0.5 zu kaufen.
My guess:
MCD experienced that if people buy a larger initial portion (Fries / burger / drink) these people are less likely to buy a second round (mc flurry / desert). Business wise it turned out that the highest profits were generated where they could convince customers to buy a second round, compared to a single large order.

That doesn't make sense to me, generally the larger sizes are cheaper overall. I haven't been to McDonalds in a while so I might need to check.
