HMM - I just briefly travelled through Madrid on my way to Toledo, some years ago. I would recommend to check out Toledo. It is a half hour per train from Madrid. The scenery does remind me of my trip to Belgrade a week ago. Pedestrian zones and side streets, almost hidden passages with great shops and cafes. And best of all, a street life that appears to be very safe.
It looks like a great place to visit. So many chairs outside so people can eat and listen to music.
Oh Madrid will ich auch einmal sehen. Irgendwie komme ich nicht mehr ganz so viel herum in letzter Zeit.
