Schlechte Nachrichten für UK. Wales, Schottland und Nordirland haben einen Pakt unterzeichnet, indem sie die Zusammenarbeit stärken und in die EU streben wollen, und jetzt haltet euch fest, der Pakt wurde ohne England unterzeichnet.
Rechtlich ist es nicht so einfach möglich, ohne Zustimmung von London, Westminister UK zu verlassen, auch Unabhängigkeits-Referenden können nicht ohne Englands Zustimmung stattfinden.
Aber politisch ist es kein gutes Zeichen für die britische Union, wenn drei von vier Mitgliedern lieber bei der EU als in UK dabei wären.
Denke langfristig könnte dieser Konflikt nur dadurch gelöst werden, dass UK als Ganzes wieder der EU betritt, dann würde sich auch die Problematik mit Nordirland/Irland wieder entschärfen.
Andererseits ist die EU auch in Großbritannien nicht überall so beliebt. Die EU steht selber vor riesigen Herausforderungen, wie Kriege, Wettrüsten (Rearm Europe), Energiekrise, Überregulierung, der zu einem Anschlussverlust im wichtigen KI, IT und Fintech-Sektor geführt hat.
Was sagt ihr dazu? Denkt ihr, dass UK langfristig wieder der EU beitreten wird oder dass auch UK irgendwann zerfallen könnte? Ist es besser die großen Herausforderungen zentral in einer Union oder dezentral als Nationalstaaten zu lösen? Wäre letzteres überhaupt im globalen Kontext möglich?

Bad news for the UK. Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland have signed a pact to strengthen cooperation and seek membership in the EU, and now, brace yourselves, the pact was signed without England.
Legally, it’s not that simple to leave the UK without London’s consent, even independence referendums cannot take place without England’s approval.
But politically, it's not a good sign for the United Kingdom if three out of four members would rather be part of the EU than part of the UK.
I think in the long run, this conflict could only be resolved if the UK as a whole rejoined the EU, that would also defuse the issue with Northern Ireland and Ireland.
On the other hand, the EU isn’t universally popular in the UK either. The EU itself faces enormous challenges, such as wars, an arms race (Rearm Europe), an energy crisis, and overregulation, which has led to a loss of competitiveness in the crucial AI, IT, and fintech sectors.
What do you think? Do you think the UK will rejoin the EU in the long run, or that the UK itself could eventually break apart? Is it better to tackle these major challenges centrally within a union or decentrally as nation-states? Would the latter even be possible in a global context?
I have no idea, but the situation in the UK doesn't seem to great due to the migrants. Maybe the UK just isn't being effective enough.
That's not that surprising, many Brits seem to be wanting to re-join the EU lately.
with some major cities (such as London) under Muslim rule, they really want to join the EU I suppose, but who would want them now?

Some of my Brit neighbors in Spain wanted to be in the EU again..they are homeowners there, unless they have a private health insurance, they have to pay a lot for health consultations.
It depends how long they had been in Spain, but they could get Spanish citizenship (idk about Spain, but I checked Portugal rules on Madeira, for both EU and Non-EU citizens). However, if they are just moving back and forth with the seasons, then they should check how the UK system compensates them for health expenses in Spain.
My neighbor has been living there permanently, they used to have free medical treatment when UK was still in the EU..They have registered as locals with residents now, so when they need special hospital treatment they go to England because they also have property there, so they can still avail of the health system .
Canada patriated the Constitution from England way back in 1982, under Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Canada did remain (and is still today) a member of the Commonwealth. What Canada did then, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland could do today as well.

If any country wants to progress, then what I am saying here is that it should not have to fight any other countries, and it is also a fact that the way things are going, they are always at war with each other. A country that wants to develop must stop wars and pay special attention to politics.

Interesting. Just looked up sentiment in the UK as a whole for rejoining the EU, and the polls show strong inclination in that direction. I think you can't ignore Trump's destabilizing effect on this desire to be part of a larger economic bloc. Even Canada is exploring 'associate' membership. With the U.S. exiting the stage as a reliable partner, people are looking for cover. They can't stand alone on the world stage. While EU membership would have its issues, being alone, without a firm economic alliance, is a scary prospect.
