Ist der (Krypto-) Winterschlaf wirklich schon vorbei? =/= Is crypto winter already over?

Das neue Jahr ist nun schon über drei Wochen alt und es scheint sich bereits etwas zu bewegen. Der Kryptomarkt scheint aus seinem Winterschlaf erwacht und es zeigen sich bereits deutliche Anzeichen, dass der Frühling nun da sein könnte. Meist sind es ja die kleineren Coins, die den Anfang machen, bevor der Platzhirsch Bitcoin sich auch endlich bequemt, mit einzustimmen und sich nach oben zu orientieren. Aber diesmal scheint es, als wollte Bitcoin zeigen, dass er zurecht ganz oben stimmt und markiert deshalb den Anführer.

Nun ja, eine Schwalbe ist noch lange kein Sommer, und daher bin ich noch recht vorsichtig, was das Ganze betrifft und ob wir wirklich einen neuen Aufschwung am Kryptomarkt vor uns haben. Aber es war schon mal ein Anfang, die 20.000er Marke wieder zu nehmen und daran dann auch gar nicht lange zu knappern, sondern behände rüber zu springen. Nun heißt es wohl erst einmal, sich dort zu halten und dabei den Rest des Marktes über der 1-Billion-Grenze zu halten, von wo es hoffentlich weiterhin Richtung Norden gehen wird.

Die Fundamentaldaten sind je nach Sichtweise eher schlecht oder doch positiv, aber die Rahmenbedingungen waren im letzten Jahr nicht ganz so positiv und daran hat sich auch noch nicht so viel geändert. Vielleicht ist es ja der Zweckoptimismus, gepaart mit Frust auf das bestehende Finanzsystem, welche dem Cryptomarkt ein wenig Feuer unter dem Arsch machen werden. Nachdem der Dollar wohl seinen derzeitigen Höchststand wieder verlassen hat, soll nun angeblich der Euro wieder zuschlagen und stärker werden. Ich würde mich eher über den japanischen Yen freuen, da ich mein Brot und meine Peseten ja im Land der aufgehenden Sonne verdiene und bei den derzeitigen Wechselkursen nur ungerne umtauschen möchte. Mir blutet bereits jetzt das Herz, wenn ich daran denke, wo der gute Yen zur Zeit steht. Aber ob sich daran in diesem Jahr etwas ändern wird, wage ich dann doch zu bezweifeln.

Da schaue ich doch lieber mit einem hoffnungsvollen Auge auf all die vielen Coins, und überlege, wie viele von ihnen wohl im Laufe der nächsten Jahre verschwinden werden. Der Use-Case der meisten von ihnen darf wohl angezweifelt werden, und auch mein Portfolio ist nicht davon gefeit, hier und da einen wahren Shitcoin zu beherbergen. Aber ein wenig Zocken ist ja auch dabei, das sollten wir uns schon eingestehen, und glücklicherweise muss ich mit meiner Crypto-Wallet nicht meinen Lebensunterhalt bestreiten. Trotzdem würde ich Freudentänze machen, wenn der eine oder andere Coin in meiner Verwahrung am Ende des Jahres doch noch den Mond erreichen würde. Es mag für die meisten ein recht weiter Weg sein, vor allem da sie immer wieder so runtergeknüppelt wurden, aber ein wenig Träumen darf doch wohl noch erlaubt sein.

Und daher wage ich es einfach, diesem Jahr optimistisch entgegen zu sehen und bin ganz gespannt, wie die Reise wohl weiter gehen wird. Wir schnallen uns wohl besser gut an...

The new year is now over three weeks old and something already seems to be going on. The crypto market appears to have woken up from its hibernation and there are already clear signs that spring could be here. Usually it is the smaller coins that make the beginning, before the top dog Bitcoin finally gets comfortable to join in and move higher. But this time it seems as if Bitcoin wants to show that it is rightly at the top and therefore pulls the market.

Well, I don't see us in summer yet, so I'm still quite cautious about the whole thing and whether we're really looking at a new upswing in the crypto market. But it was already a nice start to take the 20,000 mark again and then not even to struggle there for too long. Now it is probably a matter of holding on there for the time being and keeping the rest of the market above the 1 trillion mark, from where everything will hopefully continue to head north.

The fundamentals are either rather poor or still positive, depending on your point of view, but the economic situation was not all that positive last year, and that hasn't changed all that much yet. Perhaps it is rather forced optimism, coupled with frustration about the existing financial system, which will kick most likely left its current high again, the euro is now supposed to strike back and become stronger. I would rather liek to see the Japanese yen move, since I make my living here in the Land of the Rising Sun and don't like to exchange at the moment. My heart starts bleeding when I think about the current exchanges rates but I am not sure if this will change this year.

I try to keep some hope in my heart, but I am also wondering about how many coins will disappear over the next few years. The use-case of most of them is quite doubtful, and my portfolio is not exempt from hosting a true shitcoin here and there. But we all love a bit of gambling, and fortunately I don't have to feed myself out of my crypto wallet. Nevertheless, I would run wild if one or the other coin in my portfolio would reach the moon at the end of the year. It may be quite a long way for most of them, especially since they have been bludgeoned so many time before but well, we all are allowed a little dreaming.

And that's why I simply dare to look forward to this year with quite some optimism, and I'm very curious to see how the journey will continue. We'd better fasten our seat belts well...
