Amsterdam Canal Lovers boat transportation

For my entry, I've chosen a shot taken almost exactly a year ago in a wet Amsterdam!
This photograph was captured on the 12th of June 2024 at 12.19 pm. In fact all the photographs that you see are all taken pretty much at the same time!
Had to be about boats!
As soon as I saw the title today when it came in my feed, I just knew I had to pop some boats in here.
As this is also my wedding anniversary week, it is a time when we go a boat somewhere.
These three shots were all taken on our Silver Anniversary last year.
We had a brief stop in Amsterdam. I had not been back there for many years, and so I booked us a wee city boat tour.
I was a bit surprised to see the most popular company was called Lovers Canal Cruises. So it had to be them of course!
There are heaps of canals in Amsterdam and this was a great way to explore things.
We were on the pier waiting for that boat called Flying Enterprise to berth and unload so we could get on and enjoy a leisurely wee cruise.

Such a romantic way to celebrate your Silver Anniversary! Sailing through the canals of Amsterdam! Uff.. I love that you tied the transportation theme to such a personal memory. Thanks so much, yesterday was actually the Silver plus one lol. No boat this time, but there was one on Tuesday. Funnily enough there is a Bollywood film being made with part being shot in Edinburgh at the moment. So on our boat there were quite a few Indians who were having a break from shooting the film.
when you live in a city full of canals, boats just make sense.

I think this was this particular company, but they are colourful and artistic and brighten up a grey day I think!

25 years of marriage is a long time! I congratulate you, Ed. In this day and age, where we are invited to let go and turn the page, that you are betting on a lasting relationship is to be admired. I love how that boat looks, so colorful and that you keep the flame of love going with travel is so romantic. Hugs to you!
It is crazy nowadays I think. But if you can accept flaws then it is something to keep hold of.
