RE: Is This Hive's Verified Check Mark?

I'm not interested in a system that allows someone to purchase the right to screw people over.

That totally contradicts your earlier comment ITT - Hive system shines in allowing screwing someone with a DV as you only risk getting DVed by a bigger hammer, while anyone daring to upvote what you DVed (or are going to DV) is paying a financial penalty upfront (including stakeholders much larger than you).

That's also why it suits current shareholders. Remove the penalty (by giving everyone the same curation APR regardless of what they upvote) and the next time you try to screw someone with a DV you might end up pissing off the public to the point where they collectively upvote your target tenfold compared to where it was prior to your DV.

Obv, Mane is out of line rooting for a dumb integer to be replaced by a dumber boolean (even without rounding, it is dumb pretending an ability to compare every possible pair of accounts) but he is actually up to something here:

  1. People demand something to be displayed next to the account name.
  2. There is no good way to use the spot

Conclusion: Making it transparent pay-to-win beats any non-transparent effort.

None should get screwed, unless they really want to of course.
