Hello hello fans of Hive and fans of fantasy premier league!

It's fluffing well back baby!

The football season is already well underway. We even have had an international break to throw a spanner into the works!!

If you saw my last post a few weeks ago Win HIVE weekly with HiveFPL ~ Your Team Needs You! and read it, then you know that the awesome @hivefpl guys are running the Hive Fantasy Premier League again this year.

I duly joined and this is the first of a few periodic game upadate posts over the course of the season into May 2026!

User retention on Hive I believe is achieved when people have fun and engagement in communities, so a season long football competition is a great reason me wanting to stay on Hive.

TL;DR I am doing fluffing awesome!

Standings so far

I am in Hive Division 2, which is a head to head league and the top 5 I believe get promoted into the smaller but more lucrative Hive Division 1.

I am sitting 4th, yeah baby I am pretty chuffed with that! If the season was stopped now, then I would be promoted lol.

However, let's have a wee look at the table.

5 wins out of 5 fluffing matches!

Of course, I will probably jinx it now.

The overall Hive league

I am lots of leagues but another one I want to keep tabs on, is another blockchain one and that is

Farcaster Fantasy League

Farcaster is on Base and they have many participants and the chain itself is much active when it comes to sports micro chat.

Nevertheless it would be cool if we could show them Hivers know how to party so to speak!!!

My squad

Confession time .... I have used my first WildCard of the season a couple of weeks ago and changed my squad. Out went the Villans and a couple of Forest defensive players.

With the new scoring system in place for this season, for the first time defensive players can earn their keep in fpl!

I do have a well balance squad which does include both Haaland and Salah.

I was tempted to Triple Captain Haaland this week as Man City are at home to Burnley .... however he still is a fitness question mark with his back, although he had a weeks rest.

So I think shall settle for just captaining him.

So this week we have the following ...

Game Week 6 Tengo Rangers Team..

I think Liverpool will score at Crystal Palace, as they will want to avenge that Cup Final defeat I am sure. So I have put Guehi on the bench.

Haaland takes the Captain spot and after tossing the coin I have made Semenyo of Bouremouth our vice captain as he is on fire again!

Cue the Salah haul lol!

PB stands for Points on the Bench, ie your substitutes. I was leaving too many points on the bench and that helped form my decision to Wild Card my squad for game week 4 ... so far so good...

Early days

Of course the season lasts 38 weeks and so you don't win it in the first 10 weeks, but you sure as hell can lose it.

I am quietly confident of keeping up my progress and mounting a real challenge for the top places in Hive Division 2!
